Impossible to answer without knowing the cause. For instance bipolar depression cannot be treated the same way as regular depression.

Completely change your diet to eliminate all processed foods, alcohol, and caffeine.
Exercise most days a week.
Stop coming to 4cuckk
Never watch TV or hang out with people that watch TV

The number 1 and number 2 driver of depression are shit diet and lack of exercise.

Fixing your diet and getting exercise will also fix your body image and make you more desirable to be around for the opposite sex--it will also, unironically, make you smell better.

Psychology is a pseudoscience. Those people make money off of pushing drugs, not solving problems.

If you seek a "cure" for depression, you have already lost.

Exercise is great, practically essential. You're also going to want to attempt to rewire your brain. If you've been depressed for a long time the depressive pathways are well worn and offer the least resistance, so you will default to them. Here you have to consciously intervene and even though (undesirable activity) seems impossibly difficult, you do it. If you're mega depressed start small with stuff like bathing, and no matter how small it is, if you didn't want to do it but did, you should try to feel proud and accomplished that you did do it. Go ahead and feel like a hero, it will help.
For the initial step of doing (undesirable task) try to make your thoughts go blank and just physically go through the motions. I focus on a mental image like when old TVs turn off when I do this.
