Humans can cry emotional tears, animals cannot.

Why is science still iffy about this difference? No one can say for sure that an animal has cried in sadness the same way humans do.

Other animals cannot produce tears of sadness, but we can say with absolute certainty that some animals will mourn their dead, such as other primates and elephants.

I pepper spray my dog everytime I come home to train my dog to cry when excited.
