It seems like we've made everything we can imagine that would make the world a better place, everything else being made is just distraction to how it is. Maybe that's a malformed opinion but with fake news, chat bots, and my idiot self having a hard time identifying truth from fiction from what I read online, my opinion atm is that understanding history is more important to progressing humanity towards the right direction... I'm trying to figure out if I should go back to school for physics or history, I just want to know what I'm doing is the right path for me.

Considering that people have made this same claim every year for the last 10,000 years or so, the answer would seem to be history. But, considering that same fact, if people haven’t realized this in 10,000 years, it seems unlikely that that will change in the next 10,000.

You can learn physics and history on the internet.

Go to mordern states type it in google search they give you free college courses and you can take the Clep exams after for college credit

AI is more than just chatbots. Robots are starting to become competent at doing useful things. You say we had robots before? Well programming industrial robots has been more expensive than the robots themselves, so their use has been limited. General purpose robots could change everything. Nobody gives a shit about what historians say, history's gonna get repeated.
