Have you noticed how every famous astronaut lives into their 90s?
Does space make you live longer or something?

Selection criteria. Astronauts used to be the best of the best in all metrics. It is no surprise that longevity would correlate.

He was also the Command Module pilot for Apollo 8, so he was one of the first 3 men to leave the Earth

True.
Sadly, radiation is a problem. Some die of cancer, like Sally Ride at only 61.

F. But we all know deep down that the last one of them to die will be the one that was too much of a showman to be allowed to set foot first on the Moon.

Lovell was the most based out of the three of them. Walking on the moon gets all the glory, but chilling alone in the capsule, completely radio silent, further away from humanity than anyone has ever gone is way more based. For each of those orbits, he was god's loneliest man.
His book is pretty good too, definitely worth checking out.
