Most Americans gobble 5+ pills a day.
Measuring bio markers is also somewhat flawed - think of a1c.

How often is that reliable? Almost never.
Think of testosterone, whatโ€™s โ€œidealโ€ depends on the body being tested. Think of TSH, etc etc.

The body itself is an enormous variable hurdle against any data - of course we have gross means and medians for that reason, but as Iโ€™d said thereโ€™s so much in between that it becomes unreliable.

As much as I appreciate that heโ€™s doing this research, it wonโ€™t truly mean anything until a large (and non-diverse) group does the same. But I do hope that time comes soon, I donโ€™t want to die - and Iโ€™d love nanomachines eating my tumors.

(And headphones that can control my phone, but thatโ€™s tangential)

He's wasting his time.
The soience and tech aren't advanced enough to give him any meaningful edge over some dude who eats well, sleeps well, avoids degen behavior like drugs, and gets enough exercise.
In fact, by putting so much faith in the integrity of the manufacturing processes and supply chains associated with those dozens of pills he takes each day, it's conceivable that he's getting NEGATIVE gains in doing so.
Anonymous No.16753355 >>16753365
Also, even if we assume for the sake of argument that those 100+ supplements he takes have solid research behind them individually, he has no clue how they interact as a whole and is just assuming they interact synergistically (or at least cooperatively). It's possible they have negative interactions. There's nothing approaching any kind of rigor with what he does.

What I don't understand is why people go towards trying to De-age.
Why reverse dying cells when you can focus on technology that creates new cells. Wouldn't it make much more sense to automatize the body rather than reverse it's cellular death?
We have things like pace makers and artificial lungs. We're clearly closer to cyborg humans rather than immortal demo-gods
Anonymous No.16755237

Sort, at least moreso in the future. You look at like artificial legs or ears these days, they are fairly limited compared to the real thing. Hands and eyes even worse, albeit always improving. Taking some alpha-lipoic acid to reduce age related hearing loss or astaxanthin for age-related vision loss or various bone/muscle supplements to reduce the risk of limb loss is overall still more attractive until we have literal nanobots able to replace individual cells. Also, there is senolytic tech to kill off overly damaged cells, such as even strawberries.

Um, yeah, it pretty much evolved as a rudimentary cancer-prevention strategy. If you fully turn it off, cells will keep dividing but cancer rates skyrocket. With current tech, it seems like some combination of cycled Yamanaka factors plus downregulation of harmful senescence-associated proteins can probably push lifespan extension somewhere into the +200-500% range without any real breakthroughs in nanotech.

Hi pharma anon, am not too surprised you're over here as well
17a-estradiol is really not feminizing at low doses because it primarily has affinity for the brain's ER-X receptor, not the ERa/ERb in the body
Ecdysterone isn't even an estrogen though it'll also do something good for you, probably (why not just take angiotensin II analogues directly? weird crosstalk to be uncovered there)
Also MRFs are still meme stuff that's not past in vitro, unfortunately, I haven't seen a single human trial of that stuff (especially some of the more wacky ubiquitin pathways you've posted about)

I'm not entirely sure because... Bryan Johnson. You can say the fat transfer feminized him, but he was looking fairly feminine even before that.

It has radically different effects from most other "estrogens" such as not impacting testosterone levels, but literally...

>17ฮฑE2 is less feminizing than E2 in every published study where reasonable comparisons can be made. One-half of these studies report a difference of two orders of magnitude or greater. In practice, compounds like 17ฮฑE2 may prove to be largely non-feminizing at doses to be explored in human clinical trials. Moreover, other novel E2 analogues have been identified that are essentially devoid of feminizing actions.
