What is this feeling and what causes it, and how can I get rid of it? This happens a lot. I was laying in bed last night trying to get to sleep, and I felt like I just *had* to move. It was non-negotiable. I ended up flopping around like a fish for a whole hour. Literally flopping around like a fish acting like some kind of contortionist. It was the only thing that could satisfy my desire to move. I couldn't get comfortable. Eventually I fell asleep but not until after hours of contorting. Antihistamines or other anxiolytics seem to make it worse.

>Antipsychotic medication, particularly the first generation antipsychotics, are a leading cause.
>Akathisia is usually classified as a medication-induced movement disorder.

>other anxiolytics
>Anxiolytics are medications or other interventions that reduce anxiety.
LOL...youre dosing Rx and have zero understanding of what youre taking and are baffled by side effects?!
>Im throwing my body's chemistry into a whack state, why am I having issues?!
Fucking hell...you "meds" people are lost sheep popping pills to fix your life's problems then never changing your life to where you needed them, becoming a self reinforcing solution thats permanently required.

I take only the medications that are prescribed by my psychiatrist. I will bring up akathisia at my next meeting with him. Occasionally I experiment with various dietary supplements but I generally discontinue supplements if they do not show the desired effects. Also genies aren't real.

Anon, I know...I didnt fully read your post because it started out with the last sentence first, and most important information last, meaning you have zero understanding of what is important or not, hence why you just "do what Doc says *gulp*".

I know for a fact that these medications work because life was a living hell before I started taking them. I've heard that low doses of mirtazipine can help with akathisia. I'll probably talk to him about that.

Anon, I know...none of that is a cure, its a subscription based treatment model that is now added Rx to treat the side effects of the last Rx, its now circularly subscriptive. Compounding interest of medications.
>I'll probably talk to him about that.
Add another subscription to stomach your life choices instead of examining why your choices make your life miserable.

You dont want to be cured, you want to not be responsible for your station in life so you can blame something else. Psychiatrists love the incurable, Developmental Psychologists see you as cure avoidant.

Notice, fellow Doctors, how he frames it externally, as a matter of natural instinct. The very concept of self responsibility in mindfullness or wherewithal have no bearing to his outcome.

These people tend to turn off their brain and offload thinking to "a higher power" but not spiritually, but socially, so the TV, Doctors, "experts", or even society at large, become their brain. Organisms do this to save energy, a lazy, passive, approach to their own life...but the world then have every opportunity to use them for selfish ends, be it medical, political, or otherwise. Over a lifetime it atrophies the brain itself, having never been truly used, leading to an inability to think without social approval.

These patients then find themselves living lives they hate and are psy-op'd to believe it is what they should be doing, having no ability to see outside the matrix they have been placed in...they have only the very ones that put them in there to seek help from. A master and slave relationship.
