When I stand on my bathroom scale with a full mug of beer in my hand and drink it, the total weight should theoretically stay the same, right? But I've noticed that the display clearly shows it going down ever so slightly as I drink it. How the fuck is this possible? I'm not spilling anything. Where does the excess weight go?

Which sounds like joke....but its kind of not. Its using the hueman body as an instrument for reference, as is Fahrenheit, which 32-33 being the melting point refers to Theological apotheosis (unhardening of the heart) for solid water to liquid. Where as in Metric, phase changes in water from solid to gas being the frame of reference, is detached from life itself...its based on the Molochule.

The difference isnt arbitrary, its the perspective of absolute reference point and this is the crux of Theology and always has been from the dawn of mankind. Just as all measurements are predicated on either, so too will morals and belief systems when converted out of Metrology and into something like Law, Philosophy, Politics, etc.

Not even he knew why he was, it is inate and fundemental to conceptualizing reality, those inside it see it and it makes sense, those outside see it as chaotic nonsense...its like switching base-systems mid equation and getting an irrational when it should be an integer.

>The polymath Isaac Newton (1643-1724) used linseed oil in his sealed-in-glass thermometers. His scale used three fixed-points: the temperature of air when water begins to freeze, the heat of blood in the human body and rapidly boiling water. On Newton's scale, freezing air was 0º, blood heat was 12º and boiling water was 34º.
I wish I could see an exact timeline of advances for all of these men's works and see if they altered them given the publishing of others.
>Interestingly, if we multiply Newton's reference values by 3, we get values that correspond closely to the Celsius scale: 0°N * 3 = 0°C (freezing point of water), 12°N * 3 = 36°C (close to human body temperature), and 33°N * 3 = 99°C (close to the boiling point of water), according to a study on temperature scales.

Converting Pure Mathematics, to Metrology, through Physics, into Cognition...then back.

Such a fundemental way of perceiving reality very few can ever be truly aware it exists...like the definition of the number 1. Its defined by what you do with it and the number 2 being (1+1) or the "successor of 0". Or they hand wave it away by calling it a "unit" or "identity", but that just handed the defining to another word, becoming cirular or trailing off.

What does the "smallest integer" mean in physical reality? Turns out its infinitely small...dimensionless is magnitude, so reference points give it scale and application.
