Many other sites are like that, it would be sad to see that happeneing here too. Slashdot started out as a top site with knowledgable readers. Then they valued +5 funny above anything else, and the decline started. Later +5 insightful was modded down by people bereft of any clue and thus came the fall. Today it is a mere shadow of what it once was, and shall never recover.

Yeah, i used to respond to the ageing threads, because that is my field of research. But after the 10th instance of me writing detailed explanations on how ageing works with soources and all, just to be told i'm a shill and it is all actually a lack of cadmium and if only we took cadmium suplements we'd all live forever... i just stopped posting seriously.

2) Never respond or add to it

Why can't we make a wiki and a Q&A sites that require you at minimum to be in a math phd program? I think it can be done, with the upcoming real ID requirement for the internet.
