Anyone know whats the science behind why a person will do any sort of work except the work they're actually supposed to do? How does one fix this using science?

I have ADHD. The meds are helpful but they're more about increasing focus on what you're doing instead of giving motivation to do the different correct things. That part is still on you. So you can easily end up gooning 10 times a day instead.

ez just put yourself in a spot where you have to do something else even more urgently and the thing you were originally procrastinating on will suddenly consume all of your attention and motivation

Have you ever considered that the work this society that is about as removed from the natural human state as it possibly can be tells you you're supposed to do is not what you're actually supposed to do? The hunter gatherer didn't need strength of will to hunt and gather.
