In biological terms, the word "race" is not used in zoology or botany; the equivalent would be "subspecies," which is what follows the term "species." Homo sapiens has no subspecies; no group is genetically distinct enough to qualify as a subspecies. The Bushmen came close due to their isolation, but they didn't quite reach that point. Although they are the most genetically distinct human group, with 75% of the same markers as the rest, they are still not a subspecies of Homo sapiens.
There was, however, a subspecies of Homo sapiens that coexisted with Homo sapiens sapiens, Homo sapiens idaltus, but it has been extinct for about 40,000 years.
