Okay but how does 0 fit into this

This only works with addition, what would it look like with subtraction?

Divide the output by 0 and you get infinity.

e.g. 25 x 7

They make apperances in the arts as well. The "Sagrada Familia" church in Barcelona uses a down-scaled version of the 4x4 magic square, such that its magic constant is instead 33 and not 34. The significance of 33 being that this was christ's age at the time of the crucifixion.

I remember being in high school and messing around with them, spontaneously figuring out (but not proving) what the magic constant is supposed to be for an nxn square.
Anonymous No.16772945
who cares
there is no meaning or significance to the "magic square", just because some fucking schizo calls some bullshit "magic" and it has a pattern to it doesn't make it important, unless you are a schizo yourself.

Damn, wait until you find out about sudoku.

what's worse about that one 4*4 is that there are true 4*4 magic square whose constant is 33

A 3x3 matrix where the sum of any column and any row and the diagonal adds up to a natural number, in this case 15. it behaves like an algebraic field, e.g. like real or rational numbers do with multiplication(if you define a scalar multiplication!), addition, inverses and all the associated conventions

>the diagonal
You should have written "any" or "either" diagonal.
>algebraic field
wolframalpha.com says, that it's an affine space.

Yea I made a mistake. There are no multiplicative inverses either, so it's a ring at most. I'm just a first semester mathematics student
