>struggling with calc 2
>can’t even recall most trig rules/methods

I hate being retarded

it takes practice, not writing blog posts about how fucking gay you are on a chinese cartoon forum

Memorization of a bunch of the cosine sine log identities is actually pretty important for this. And maybe get a copy of Schaum's math reference book. Dedicate yourself to memorizing the identities and how the substitution rule can be applied in these cases. Don't even worry about finishing the integral problem, just make sure you can always take a problem and expand it to the point where you can finish it.

Rote memorization is the humiliation ritual imposed by midwits conditioning you to be a wage slave.

Do problems. Loads of problems. Retards underestimate the number of problems they need to do to ace math courses.

Enough so that you don't get stumped.

This is all bad advice. You need to figure out how to make it all stick in your brain. Most people use pneumonics. I think that's gay, and prefer to use the method of being half confident: assume that I have the right answer and if I'm wrong, accept that I've got it backwards because there's something wrong with me. Here's an example:
>Trig sum rules:
>Sin(a+b) = sinacosb+ sinbcosa
Then check the answer. Do I have to flip the plus to a minus for sin? Am I sure it's not sinsin, coscos? Etc. if I'm wrong, I file that in my brain as another thing that I shouldn't be an arrogant bastard about.

Stop posting on 4chan about it and practice. Get reps in. All brains need to be wrangled into doing as they're told from time to time, intelligent or not. If a competent scientist gave up and just concluded he was "retarded" every time he got frustrated and hit a wall, nothing would ever get invented or discovered.

simply, just practice
what I did was, that I rewrote the explanations for rules and methods in as simple manner as possible to Obsidian, wrote step-by-step solves for each exercise, and then I just practiced a ton, going back to the notes as I needed them.
you can also use llm's as your personal teacher and use them to break down stuff to you.
