I confronted my algebra teacher about this today. I said "On the first day of class you said "Please excuse aunt sally my dear."
He immediately went "No, I would never say that. I said please excuse my dead aunt sally."
Then I said "You said addition and subtraction come before multiplication and division."
Him: Yes, that's correct.
Me: So that's please excuse aunt sally, my dear.
Him: No because you always go backwards when you blah blah blah. Actually, when you think about it PEMDAS is wrong!
Me: So how to do math changes depending on who's explaining it to you.
Him: No, they just don't know what they're talking about.
Notice he went from vehemently denying ever saying it to saying actually he was correct all along.
P.S. I failed a quiz today because I bought the T30-XIIS instead of the T30A, so I couldn't use it during the quiz.
