Can I get some recommendations on books to study geology as an amateur hobbyist? Just read Journey To The Centre Of The Earth and found it amazing and intriguing
I don't think I want to "study" study geology but I'd like to learn more

I'm only up to Chapter 4 RN but maybe Essentials of Geology by Stephen Marshak? I found the third edition going cheap on a used book retailer and picked it up a while ago.
It's a textbook. Seems to parallel a lot of the same things I learned in a geology course.

It really depends on what you are interested in. Any basic book on basic concepts, then are you interested in oil/gas, diamonds, gold, plate tectonics, hydrogeology, recent time, the past (like really old geologic time old). A youtube channel called Geology Hub is interesting and discusses many topics around the world.
