There's no evolutionary advantage in selecting for intelligence (beyond a certain baseline like not being a drooling retard). Women in the past selected for things like physical fitness, which indicated how well a potential mate would fair at protecting her and their children. But in civilized society women select for things like income, which indicates how well a potential mate will provide for their children, since security is usually obtained through other means (including by spending money).
