Where can I go to no longer fear the censor? I want to continue my research without the moralist telling me when to stop and the law enforcing it, without the capitalist telling me what to sell and the communist telling me who it goes to. Where is there a place for someone like me?

I assume, US (on top and secret research circles, like gov funded but still secret), or just china
I don't know, but it seems pretty reasonable that both are doing it.

The US and even the Chinese have their limits. Funding isn't the issue, it's the laws governing the material.

Those that, through some misguided belief in ethics derived from a bygone era, would be intent on halting any progress if it were to happen on "their" land. If there is no land free from these restraints, what am I to do?

I do sometimes consider this, as far as my knowledge goes, UNCLOS is the only (vaguely) applicable doctrine to the open ocean. Either that or Antarctica. Ironically enough, the Antarctic is typically used for scientific research by a number of fearful and closed-minded nations. Habitability would be the primary concern. If the ideology hounds found me, they would rip limb by canine at the sight of my ambition.

What kind of research are you doing that requires this? Unless you're testing unethically on humans who would protest?

That's irrelevant and I resent the question. To what point is there in asking the "what"? If it progresses the world, what matter is it as to what the nature of the work is? This is the seed of the censor speaking from within you.

nigga stop thinking so highly of yourself.
I was wondering what kind of research is actually being censored and you went on your stupid tangent. Answer the fucking question or shut the fuck up.

Genomics, cybernetics, physics, and stem cell research, to name a few. Are you able to provide any enlightening insight now that you know the nature of my work? Or was this just a waste of time.

I was, less than satisfied, with the "support" I received. Whether it be an explicit denial of my creation, or the softly spoken guidance to the void of forgotten history. Again, the censor fears progress, but a scientist, what would they have to fear of their work alone?

wages being paid, and the one who pays them, that's all there it is, science is not free it is completely enslaved, regardless if it shouldn't
that's why some things will only happen in secret projects, so no public and other entities pushing against it will get in the way, welcome to the west, military has the biggest budget, because that translates directly to money
