I’m a “professor of AI” at a “professional studies school”, so basically a hack, but indistinguishable from a real scientist in the eyes of most normies(they are the easiest to fool)

I'm a phd candidate in a lab science, but I don't know if anyone really considers grad students to be scientists, more like scientists in training.

I have an r&d position in my engineering field, and I've published scientific papers. So I guess I'm a scientist (though, an entirely unremarkable one).

Define scientist.
Someone in academia publishing useless paper after useless paper?
Or somebody who performed a successful experiment and verified a hypotheses, nobody else had before?

I have an academic position but I consider the Ivy League institution employing me to be a fraudulent diploma mill that is diluting the value of college degrees and only hiring me to mooch off of my credibility when marketing their 100k “masters” to students looking for easy student visas.

I'm a boring mechanic in normal life but physic is my hobby and i read books and listen to scientific lectures in my free time. For example, today at work i listened to a 7hour audiobook about how stars work, from preordial nuclesynthesys, gas clouds, fusion to supernova.

Leave science to the independently wealthy who don't need to actually earn a decent income, like it has historically been.
