GlyNAC thread
I've been reading up on GlyNAC, and the dosages used seem pretty high. I weigh 200lbs, so the 100mg/kg dosage would be 9g of glycine and 9g of NAC daily.

I'm fine with taking 9g glycine, but 9g NAC seems very high, even though the bioavailability orally is like 10%. I did start today and feel a little weird but nothing major.

Is this a retarded idea? The potential benefits do seem worth it even for people in their 20s and 30s. Any anons here who's more experienced with NAC or tried taking GlyNAC?

What targets are you trying to improve?

I'm doing 1.2g NAC and 3g glycine plus supplementing 200-300% RDA of all essential metals/metalloids/minerals to get around chelation skill issues. 9g sounds like a lot especially long-term.

Glutathione, collagen synthesis, reversing aging and staying young forever

If you're doing powdered glycine I see no reason to limit it to 3g. Daily intake from food is 3g, the body produces 3g, and the optimal requirement is 15g+

I also eat a fair amount of collagen pepetide-boosted jello instead of just some normie diet, but is it really well established that glycine needs are so high if you're not trying to reverse some grand canyon tier wrinkles during heavy sun exposure or something?

Collagen synthesis is rate limited by glycine, which is used for most everything all over the body, its not like all of it goes to your face. I think most research on wrinkles anyways is from taking collagen peptides and not glycine on its own
