I just finished my b.sc degree in biz from rwth aachen. Im now enrolling in math and the biz m.sc program.
just for fun and interest tho not for better jobs (i work as delivery driver). what are the scientific implications of degreemaxxing?

He studied for so long. And not a single STEM degree! He could have learned all kinds of math, physics, chemistry, biology in that time. He could have truly approached an all-encompassing understanding of the world. Instead: urban planning twice? Seriously?

As for you anon, I suggest starting from the most abstract math, and then go on to take theoretical physics. I think that's the most you can get out of the university education at undergrad level.

Advanced theoretical physics seems like a circle jerk that produces nothing of value, only existing to provide unproductive jobs for autistic people and extract funds from taxpayers. The same goes for highly abstract mathematics.
Take string theory or perfectoid spaces, for example. Thats why im more interested in the applied math stuff, optimization, data science, operations research etc.

calculus of variations is the most applied shit in control theory which stems from 16. century physics as well.
Whatever. Just add transaction costs as an absolute value to your merton portfolio optimization problem and see how non-differentiability fucks your ass just by a small non-smooth function.

I know of one professor in my country that is known for having achieved the highest degree which is sufficient to become a tenured professor in nearly all academic disciplines, including maths, physics, biology, chemistry, history, philosophy, medicine, law, etc. the guy was nearly 70 years old when he was all finished, and died soon afterwards
