Can you promise /sci/entifically speaking, that if someone were to have a.. cessation of life, that they would disappear? For good? No strings attached? Asking for a very tired man..

There is a scientifically verified brief "afterlife" where people are not really "dead" yet but can be revived despite having no heart/brain activity. The maximum has been about two hours for cold water drowning victims, somewhat similar to torpor. Whether there is such a thing as an afterlife beyond the window of possible biological revival is not /sci/entifically known.

I can't promise this however. Unfortunately.
There isn't a 0% chance that when people die they're actually gone forever. I don't even say that in a kind of "high-speculative-science" kind of way: a number of Invertebrates retain memories/information even after being cut to pieces and there's too many accounts of organ donor recipients picking up habits and memories from their donors for it to be completely anecdotal.
