137.035999 Fine-Structure Constant
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fine-structure_constant

137.035999

>In physics, the fine-structure constant, also known as the Sommerfeld constant, commonly denoted by α alpha (the Greek letter alpha), is a fundamental physical constant that quantifies the strength of the electromagnetic interaction between elementary charged particles. It is a dimensionless quantity (dimensionless physical constant), independent of the system of units used, which is related to the strength of the coupling of an elementary charge e with the electromagnetic field

WTF is this number? Is it important? What does it measure?
Can you show me a .webm of this in actual physical reality or is it just more madeup nerd slop like "Ether" and "Dark Matter" and "Black Energy"?

Some random shit. The coupling runs with energy. At different energies alpha may be 80 but you don't see a cult around that one

Where are all of the fucking even numbers?
Did the universe run out of them or something?
Even numbers were not formed out of the odd big bang singularity yet?
Even numbers come later in the universes evolution?

When two electrons interact, they both obviously have negative charge don't want to be near each other. So one shoots a photon at the other at a specific strength / angle to get the other electron away. This value is really tiny, so they use the reciprocal of it and it turned out to be bssically 137 which was odd.

That's the best your gonna get without going into the actual mathematics.

Anonymous No.16835920 [Report]
There is a most profound and beautiful question associated with the observed coupling constant, e – the amplitude for a real electron to emit or absorb a real photon. It is a simple number that has been experimentally determined to be close to 0.08542455. (My physicist friends won't recognize this number, because they like to remember it as the inverse of its square: about 137.03597 with an uncertainty of about 2 in the last decimal place. It has been a mystery ever since it was discovered more than fifty years ago...

... and all good theoretical physicists put this number up on their wall and worry about it....

Immediately you would like to know where this number for a coupling comes from: is it related to pi or perhaps to the base of natural logarithms?

Nobody knows.
It's one of the greatest damn mysteries of physics:

a magic number that comes to us with no understanding by humans.

You might say the "hand of God" wrote that number, and "we don't know how He pushed His pencil." We know what kind of a dance to do experimentally to measure this number very accurately, but we don't know what kind of dance to do on the computer to make this number come out – without putting it in secretly!

—R. P. Feynman

In the late 20th century, multiple physicists, including Stephen Hawking in his 1988 book A Brief History of Time, began exploring the idea of a multiverse, and the fine-structure constant was one of several universal constants that suggested the idea of a

-tuned
universe.

The amount of initial force put into the movement of the first magnet causing the reaction determines if the last magnet "kicks out" or not.
Perhaps it is not possible to match the force of keeping a magnet inside because enough force to cause the reaction must be applied, and that amount is the amount of a slingshot?
Equal and opposite...

Where does the number come from?
Base 10?
Binary?
Why does it have three 9's in a row at the end of it?

I do not understand. Is this the end of the yellow brick road?
All numbers lead back to one central number, and no farther?
This number gives birth to all other numbers?
All forces, all come back to....9 numbers all odds, 1 empty place marker (zero) 1 spacer (decimal point) the end?
Where do we go from here to connect the next point.
Where is the next piece of the puzzle?

>Where does the number come from?
it comes from multiplying and dividing a bunch of constants and other stuff. you have to read the wiki article if you're willing to know better
>Base 10?
yes
>Why does it have three 9's in a row at the end of it?
because that's what they've measured
>(the rest)
yes, basically it's a constant that is affecting a lot of things in physics. just like you can pick any random physics equation and you're more likely than not to find c somewhere in there because c defines the maximum speed of any physical process
nobody knows as of now why it's exactly that number but if it was different, we wouldn't be here so that can be a reason in itself

The apple is packed with water, making it absorbent to the magnets impact, acting like a spring bouncing the impacts off
You can see the cutout on the middle of the wooden magnet rails, if it was kept and not cut out (probably to fit the apple to begin with) then the magnets might not have angled weirdly

So if the FSC is the final, last number, err...the first number...where do we go from here?
