If it makes you feel better, I took O. Chem II over a 6 week Summer course and we started with about 300 kids, and ended with less than 30, so you're hardly alone.
They call them "weed out classes" for a reason. I'd say a good 70% of the "point" of them is to try to break you with the sheer volume of work required to keep up.
It's not "hard", per se, but it's "like drinking from a fire hydrant" for a decade. You have to be able to handle large amounts of detailed info, not be a "genius" that reinvents the wheel every week.
On the contrary, you want to do the same procedure the EXACT same way EVERY SINGLE time until you cannot get it wrong, even when they wake you up at 3am, after having already worked for the previous 48 hrs. straight, which will also happen.
Eventually, it become automatic and you can just use Medspeak like a robot in your sleep, but only if you use it all day everyday.
Embrace the Suck!
The cool part is that once you know the basic lingo, you can understand 80% of every case you hear about. It's actually really cool and you see how and why things are called what they are.
Well worth the investment of time and effort. Plus, it makes you at least look smart and chicks dig it too.
