Again, this is how Amethyst was saved from being shattered. Steven is not mobile or strong enough to do this. It wasn't measly distraction, a powerful fusion kicked and stole the gem with a level of nimble grace better than Steven or Connie. Because that's how fusions work retard. Without Connie to fuse with, Steven can't stop Jasper from shattering Amethyst whenever she wants. And Steven can't heal completely broken gems on his own. Dumbass.
