Is the relationship system that hard for you? After my first 2 or 3 runs getting a negative relationship was very rare for me. It would take serious bad luck to get negative relations and then not have enough items at the inn to just make them at least get to neutral. I'd actually argue it is the opposite: Relationships kinda ruin the game by making it too easy.

Also Dismas/Renauld had a mother fucking 3-way.
