Spec and TAS are good. They get her personality down. Ultimate and 2017 are shot adaptations overall anyway. Games don't focus on the supporting cas that much and modern writers like at Insomniac can't write fun women without removing sex appeal. The Raimi stuff was probably Avi Arad or some other studio exec wanting MJ to be a typical damsel role or the screenwriter misunderstood MJ and just put her into a template and not how she is in the comics. They saw MJ probably as another plot device and not as a character to mine other fun stuff from as well.

Don't worry anon. Yeah people just need to separate the character from the shit writing decisions and game design decisions. Would much rather prefer MJ to just be like an escort mission where you need to swing her around the city to different places. Maybe just make her superpowered too Insomniax if you wanted her to be playable. Maybe She-Venom perhaps? Nah we gotta do Scream because the comics did it befoee like that ever fucking mattered.
