The world takes a no-brakes turn for the apocalyptic right after the fourth volume. That's the entire reason I was asking the author for more translated LN releases, but I ended up just binge-reading the finished webnovel instead. About what ensues next, every single character has dreary stuff happening to them in the way the reader can't ever be sure who dies next, as no one is exempt from death flags.

Now we're entering opinion territory, I won't press this issue since you can simply not have enjoyed reading through it years ago, but what Omaegotoki can state for itself is that its success is undeniable enough to have warranted an LN, a localization, a manga, and an anime adaptation in sequence, out of something as niche as a grimdark yuri story, looping back to anon's question of whether he would even find a market for these types in the first place, so it must be doing something right to say the least.
