>Ariel
She was quirky sure but outside of her obsession with the surface world she wasn't really shunned or disliked. She comes up with weird names out of ignorance, rather than because she's weird.
>Belle
She just reads. Like in-universe this is weird but she's definitely more of a girl power "women can be more than just housewives" type character.
>Mulan
Again, her rebellion is meant to be empowering. Wanting to go to war in order to save her father is noble and like...sure she fails at the marriage ceremony but it feels more like a "she's not meant for being a traditional girl."
Lilo is weird in almost every social way she can be, moreso than the other princesses quirks. She feeds PBJ to a fish, she takes photos of fat tourists, she gets into fights and bites people, She carries around a ratty patchwork doll who she claims had head surgery, She listens to elvis and nails her sister out of the house, She wants the ugliest dog in the pound, She gives him a baby bottle of coffee, She has a calm phone conversation as her house is destroyed by aliens. The other princesses HAVE quirks. Lilo IS quirky. But she's quirky in a way a lotta kids are weird. Disney princesses tend to have humanizing features to make the audience go "wow, I can relate to her" but Lilo goes so far to show what a weird kid is really like, even at the risk of doing stuff that is dangerous and immatable like leaving several pots boiling on the stove or hiding in a dryer (which had to be edited cuz standards and practices are cowards). She's probably one of the most grounded and real disney characters rather than an ideal to be fawned over or strived for.
