i wanna queue shit and have fun but everything takes forever if it's not prime time (and even then it can take a while) because so many people just aren't playing right now
meanwhile, all the people i loved talking to have basically left with the exception of a couple of people who aren't on nearly as often anymore for totally understandable reasons. and if all i wanted to do in this game was talk, i'd just use discord for that.
old fc is fucking dead for the same reason, just nobody on. it's hard to believe that a few years ago i was in an active community fc where people played together and talked and met at the fc house and had fun together, but now it's dead. nearly every fc is dead. even the normie ones recruiting randos in limsa all day have like 3/281 people online. nobody gives a shit about this game right now except gooners and sweaty raiders who wanted .3 ultimate, and once the raiders learned they'd have to wait for content, they got mad and left. and now that mare's gonna be down for a week, the gooners are probably gonna take a little break as well. already seeing balmung uldah emptying out now that people can't share their hideous plap animations easily.
it's so bad, sometimes I just log in and then post here about wanting to get plapped for hours while my character just sits in town waiting for queues that never pop, partyfinders that never fill, friends that never log in, etc.
