You have a ridiculously idealized view of women. Women are just as aggressive and vicious as men, they're just much sneakier about it. There's no concept of "frenemies" among men, where you pretend that you like someone you actually hate and hang out with them only because they're socially beneficial to you, while doing whatever you can behind their back to undermine them. Crossing a dude might get you punched in the face, crossing a woman might have her totally devote herself to ruining your life. A lot of women prefer to only have male friends because men aren't catty, backstabbing psychos.
