Warhammer fantasy elves are lame as fuck in comparison to the Eldar though. Both in terms of aesthetics as well as their lore. Their lore basically just boils down to gay ass court politics, being goody two shoes status quo maintainers and seething about the Druchii all the time.
Whereas in 40k the Eldar actually get to be morally more complex, being backstabbing dicks and manipulators of the imperium just as much as they are their allies at times, and best of all there is none of the fucking lame and gay "Muh mortal enemy dark reflection rivalry shit" between the Craftworld Eldar and the Dark Eldar. The best part about the Eldar is that both the Dark Eldar and the CWE still regard each other as kin, even if they kind of hate each other, and will often fight together against mutual enemies rather than just being stuck in some lame protracted civil war over who gets to be the phoenix king like the fantasy elves are.
