Shrink scope till you reach a "finishable kernel you can show people"
>gave up on writing
forget writing a book, write draft short stories on deadline. No quality expectations but minimum of two double spaced pages each. no editing allowed, your new story is due by Saturday night at 7PM each week. Repeat for a few months then dump a short collection of the better ones in writer spaces. If you can't force yourself to write 500 words in seven days, you don't deserve to even call yourself an aspiring writer.
>Gave up on source filmmaker
Forget 2-6 minute videos: get the absolute basics down then do 3-5 second animations you post to youtube. Think bogos binted sized, vid related https://youtu.be/kurAJvAHB6I
>gave up on game maker
Forget full games: make something dead simple and small. think micro-ideas, stuff like "one weekend only, no art assets pong but you play the ball flappy bird style and need to hit the paddle to not die" or something, then release on itch.io.
>gave up on photoshop
forget doing anything masterful, go boot into quickposes or find some reference then do ten minutes of figures a day, eg https://quickposes.com/en, post progress pics to /ic/ or twitter
If you actually like being creative, stuff like the above is revitalizing, focusing, and builds momentum towards bigger works: if you don't, you're not actually interested in doing these things, which is fine, but then admit it to yourself and move the fuck on. Not everyone's cut out for that life, and that's okay
