Halsin is just not there. He's a meme polyamory pick. All he does is moan about the oakfather, cursed children and orgies. His story is resolved mid- act 2 and all he does in act 3 is get kidnapped
Astarion's act 3 was disappointing too with all the moaning he did when his final dungeon was just a couple of rooms and a shitty boss fight that is easier if you don't take Astarion with you (Astarion will still spawn into the final cutscene to resolve things so you don't miss anything)
Lae'zel and shadowheart for some reason take the entire cake
You can tell most of the effort was put into act 1
