The only way in a million years another Mass Effect game would be good is if they gave it the Andor treatment where the scale is way smaller and virtually no previous characters physically return (callbacks or references or whatever else would be fine). If the dev team can't commit to exploring new characters and how the moving parts of the setting actually function and interact in day-to-day practice, it's over.
