This might be the dumbest talking point from OLED marketers yet. If i put this mini LED monitor side to side with an QD-OLED monitor in a dark room and make use of variable backlight then it's basically almost identical in blacks. You'd be hard pressed to spot the differences unless your eyes are very susceptible to analyzing it. What local dimming has issues with is haloing in these scenarios. But getting there to actual deep blacks is fine. That is in comparison with a pg32ucdm, i own both of these monitors.
