In video editing in 4k or even theater DCP, we use IPS monitors only, 1 BVM for cleaning and 2 EIZO for editing (1 Lilliput but they are shit), OLED is used to for check disks and test on retail materials.

I have to disagree. VESA only introduced the standard because OLEDs of the time could not reach the luminosity standards of the regular VESA standard. OLEDs should be subjected to the same scrutiny in luminosity as MiniLED displays are for contrast and black level.

I did. Personally I have a OLED C2 from LG for say playing games like Deathe Stranding or Monhun Wilds or Fantasy Life you know game that aren't really demanding on the brain or the skills set.

But I use my Gigabyte M34WQ for everything else. I don't have to fear burnin, I don't mind it not having perfect blacks, most games don't have perfect blacks. Motion is visibly worse on it then on the C2 but if I'm not comparing them Side by Side I don't notice most of the time.

I personally recommend people this one. It's probably the best you can get with monitors in terms of compromises.

It's 1440p but ultra wide so you get a lof of screen estate basically two monitors.
You get one of the best IPS panels on the market with excellent motion for games.
The Colors are okay.
There is typical IPS bleeding.
1440p can be run on a 5080/4080/7900XTX easily without using DLSS at 60Hz or FSR. You can easily run everything once you use it on 144hz.

I have static things on areas of my screen 16 hours a day, every single day. I am not using "Turn off your monitor for 10 minutes every 4 hours" shit to protect it. I will not buy an OLED for my PC, give it up, marketer.

I love my 32: 9 OLED meme monitor, it's so cool and so weird but it makes my PC feel fun and really good for occasional productivity when working from home. Gaming is kind of a pain with some games but incredible when it works, don't get this thing if you expect support in every game and refuse to mod games or mess with config files. But there's a 16:9 mode too and looks great, even with the black bars since it's OLED.

LG OLEDs, and Semi-Gloss, and MATTE oleds don't show this issue due to using a completely different anti-glare, so while the Mothseye anti-reflection might be the best in the game, it's the most fragile and will absolutely destroy your experience if you get anything with it, which is 90% of QD-OLED gaming monitors

If i put this mini LED monitor side to side with an QD-OLED monitor in a dark room and make use of variable backlight then it's basically almost identical in blacks. You'd be hard pressed to spot the differences unless your eyes are very susceptible to analyzing it. What local dimming has issues with is haloing in these scenarios. But getting there to actual deep blacks is fine. That is in comparison with a pg32ucdm, i own both of these monitors.

No. Cameras and film are fully capable of HDR. It's just that everything was mastered for SDR REC709 previously. So when they scanned the master and color graded they did it for that. It's only recently that they're keeping masters in ACES which should be fully future proof.
