Should someone who’s lived the life she’s had be charming? For that matter, why would someone with her strength even try to cultivate whatever someone would see as “charm”? From her perspective, charm is just what weaklings use to get along. The ideal she aspires to is a self-sufficient strength that lets you escape the necessity of depending on others. Of course, anyone who’s seen even a bit of Mob Psycho knows exactly how One feels about that kind of sentiment. I think Tatsumaki is a good example of showcasing how such a mindset emerges, and I don’t feel that Murata does this aspect of her character any favors by sanding down the edges
