Since the topic of catching up has come up, does /a/ have any advice to give to a precure newfag?

I'm watching Idol as my first taste of Precure and it's just wonderful. I regret not joining in on the ride a decade or more ago.

I've always watched to watch Smile because I like one of the girls www
The puppy girls from last season look adorable.
I've heard good things abou Heartcatch. The whacky artstyle really stands out and looks like fun. Really reminds me of Stardust Witch Meruru.
I like Doremi and the touching episodes are the bestest.

I suppose it doesn't really matter which order you watch for a series like Precure, just picking what looks cute and fun and jumping in seems ideal.
