I thought the remake was pretty solid but I like the original's OST better, to the point where I'd recommend watching it just for the music alone. But it's still cool they're doing a full adaptation and Myuri is a cute framing device. Artstyle's a bit more of a subjective thing but I did notice things like CGI for the horses and background characters, typical budget saving stuff.
My actually autistic complaint is they made Holo's boobs too big in the new show. She should be perfectly flat like in the LN art.
