I personally could never bring myself to see Kat as a romantic option. She had real little sister energy to me and that is the sort of dynamic I liked her having with Swann.
It is kinda like how I could not see Swann and Nora as having any type of relationship together that was not romantic. They just work so well together.

Next playthrough I'm going to take so many shots of Swann and Nora dancing together and all of the girls together in the sky. The absolute peak of the game for me. Pure sapphic joy.
