That sounds good. maybe I'll nick that a bit if your cool with it. Or have it be something made by triune scriptures as a training realm. Some vast wilderness they put in experienced enough students to find survive in and find a way out eventually. Almost sort of like a minecraft world but less blocky and more xianxiaish. If they manage to get out on there own through one of the expected proper ways. (or even a unexpected though still impressive way.) They move onto the next rank in the sect. And get to keep whatever home/base they made in the training dimension if they want.

I admit I'm not sure. My gut thought is perhaps its a technique/small array taught to triune scriptures where if they defeat a strong enough void monster it transmutes the energy left behind by the monster into a heart container. Have it be originally be used by scripture users but its so useful it eventually gets adopted by other cultivator sects to.

Though now that im in a world building mood I think perhaps the reason not everyone does the scripture method is perhaps because of cultural differences and it's a fair bit harder then the standard cultivation methods in the world. They get seen as soft hearted or "weak" by the wider world from those inexperienced with them as a stereotype. But generally cut a smaller presence in the world outwardly because most tend not to boast
