What did you do in quirky indie RPG inspired by Earthbound jumps?
>>96081053What jump is that?
>>96081066Undertale
Omori
Yiik
The list goes on
>>96081077Is there even anything worth doing in YIIK besides genocide?
>>96081053I don't like too much either of the undertale jumps, but I guess I became god, restored the amalgamates, Chara, Asriel and the souls I absorbed.
>>96081121It's been a while since I looked at Undertale lore, but if I'm remembering correctly, Asriel's deal was basically
>took a human SOUL to cross the barrier and try to negotiate with the humans>allowed himself to be stoned to death by the mob because he was a kind-hearted pacifist>because he was the strongest of the Monsters, even after he died and his SOUL was destroyed, his ego persisted, reformed into the soulless husk known as Flowey>originally sought out a SOUL to restore himself, but after exposure to Determination and timeline tomfoolery, set his sights on acquiring all 7 of the Underground's human SOULs in order to become the God of HyperdeathDoesn't all this mean that Flowey is functionally a Nobody, ala Kingdom Hearts?
>>96081053Get into Wacky hijinks and earthbound like shenanigans in the spirit of the world. Fight enemies that looked rather like everyday objects and so on. Its a bit of a overdone genre nowadays but Im still fond of em. Looking forward to the earthbound 1-2 Jump remake if we gt it.
>>96081266Almost exact with the exceptions
>took a human SOUL to cross the barrier and try to negotiate with the humansChara planned to make him absorb their soul to then make him absorb other 6 human souls and become a god, to free monsterkind, even trying to bodyjack him to kill the humans who attacked him mistaking him for Chara's killer.
>because he was the strongest of the Monsters, even after he died and his SOUL was destroyed, his ego persisted, reformed into the soulless husk known as FloweyWhile boss monsters souls persist a bit after death his didn't last long enough to form flowey, what did it was Alphys injecting DETERMINATION extracted from the fallen children in the flower on wich Asriel's dust fell. It's exactly him not having a soul the problem, as monster souls are made of love hope and compassion, and therefore Flowey is an horrible sociopath.
>>originally sought out a SOUL to restore himself, but after exposure to Determination and timeline tomfoolery, set his sights on acquiring all 7 of the Underground's human SOULs in order to become the God of HyperdeathNo, he needs the souls to restore himself, in the neutral endings with 6 souls he still is unable to do it.
>Doesn't all this mean that Flowey is functionally a Nobody, ala Kingdom Hearts?Kind of, yeah.
>>96081077never played any of those games desu so I've never used the jumps

ROLL FOR ME, ROLL GODS...
1. Kirby's Dream Land
2. Digimon
3. Avatar: The Last Airbender
4. Monster Hunter
5. X-COM
6. Splatoon
7. Thunder Cats
8. Sailor Moon
>>96081811why does it always land on the joke jumps first
>>96081825I feel your pain anon. Good luck in Sailor moon.
I have a request for the person who made the Himenospia Jump. Please make a jump for the Bloody Mary manga. It's only 16 chapters and is about a succubus that drain peoples lives surviving in Shibuya. Thanks https://bato.to/title/5970-bloody-mary
>>96081840thank you, I'll need it
especially since I haven't seen the show
>>96081077We have a YIIK jump?
>>96082193Um, I thought we did...
>>96080959 (OP)The world is a JUNGLE, whoever forgets that shall pay the price.
>>96081994You'll need to read the manga for the full story. At one point everyone in the galaxy gets wiped out. They get better, but it's still a problem for jumper given death means chainfail even if you can expect to get resurrected.
>>96082346Thankfully you won't chainfail in that situation

King's Quest! I never played the other -quest games, so if anyone wants to be a cop, a space janitor, or a lounge lizard, don't expect them from me. If anyone wonders, I didn't draw on the remake for material.

>>96082796I don't know anything about this so I don't have feedback but thanks for the jump!
>>96081811>>96081825you'll take your fanfic Sailor Moon and like it you whippersnapper!
>>96082796Nice, I'll look through this more in a bit but an immediate question I have for the True Love companion is if we can import someone into the roll if we happen to already have a true love. Additionally there doesn't seem to be any option to recruit canon characters as companions.
Also the word "adventurer" in the Veteran Adventurer perk is not capitalized. Speaking of the perk I assume the intended function is to give you the sort of plot contrivance of the various protagonists of the series in coming across the right thing / item they'll need to address something later? Or at least finding that stuff "normally", I'm aware "the thing that is needed to move the plot along" item is the thing you'd want to purchase if you're just interested in having, well, the thing needed to move the plot along.
Also just want to say thanks for making the jump, I really enjoyed this series growing up and it's great that we've finally got a jump for it.
>Fox youtuber I've been watching online commited suicide thanks to reddit(apparently)?
Damn, as if I couldn't hate reddit more.
>>96083365If you’re talking about the one that ran a fox rescue, it probably wasn’t Reddit. The whole animal rescue/conservatory sphere is full of absolute gigacunts
>>96083438>The whole animal rescue/conservatory sphere is full of absolute gigacuntsYou can say that about everything really.
>>96083446Yeah, but for whatever reason there’s a LOT of them there. Like holy fuck calm down.
>>96083463If I had to guess the type of chimpanzee possessed by a demonic spirit that can't be content unless he's lording over and whipping slaves would be very drawn to something which they can abuse as they'd like.
>>96083614When gauntlets gauntlet on gauntlet time.
>>96083619But gauntlets only gauntlet on gauntlet time after gauntlets gauntlet in gauntlet time...
>Toyotarou, creator of Dragon Ball Super, has announced that EVERYTHING is canon
Gohanposter, how does this make you feel?
>>96083347Yep. The perk is instinct and experience. The item is just convenience.
>>96080959 (OP)Cthulhu Fartagn fix your Biological Upgrades perk in the vampire sex and blood jump to not make me a futa for taking it.
>>96083614there needs to be a drawback based on the meme of Wizard needs food badly. Maybe you can never get enough food of something.
>>96084114Nta but he should also add the ability to purchase monster and vampire forms in his castlevania jumps.
He said we could, but never updated his jumps. It should be in the archive.
okay, let's try this
1) DXD
2) AgK
3) Fire Force
4) FGO
5) 2hu
6) Marvel something
7) Prison School
8) Darkstalkers
Rolled 3 (1d8)
>>96084540forgot to roll I guess
>>96081867I'm sorry, but even if I weren't too busy seething, I don't have any interest in this manga.
>>96084114No.
>>96084451I don't think I ever actually said I would do that. I gave a rough idea of what they would be price at if they had a price, because someone asked and I'm willing to give a lot of leeway to ideas I think are cool, but in terms of actual jump mechanics, no, those are the rules.
>>96084561I see a lot of options here that make me wish I could have taken this as a later jump. Oh well, build incoming.
>>96083614Me and my buddies played the shit out of the N64 version of this and Smash.
>>96084992No, no I think you are looking for Reddit. That's a common mistake, just go to Reddit I am sure they have plenty there.
>>96081053Turn them into romantic slice of life jumps.
>>96084856>Those are the rulesThat you arbitrarily changed when updating circle of the moon.
>>96083719That means that Daima is canon where Gohan doesn't exist.
>>96085076pdf files = pedofiles
>>96084856>No.Why? Just to be a prick?
>>96084977Really wish I'd done this second, so I could import someone as my Guardian.

>>96085640this makes me think of that one waifu catalogue fic for that 70s show
>>96084856>>96085496>>96085640It should be noted, I'm not asking for the perk to not have the option to make someone into a futa, I'm asking for the option for the becoming a futa part be optional for people that are men. It outright says you get larger tits, which means its worded to give men tits.
Anyone have that pic of Kama and U-Olga judging eachother?
>>96086009Found it with less than a minute of googling. You don't deserve to see it, but I'll show it to you anyways.
Bit of an odd question. Say that Halo and Xcom take place in the same universe, and the aliens of XCOM make first contact around...2450ish. This is well before the Insurrection, so Spartans aren't around yet, and while seperatist sentiment is there it hasn't reached a boiling point yet. And this is, of course, a good 65 years before Halo Humanity would encounter the Covenant. What would the war between XCOM aliens and pre-Insurrection Halo Humans look like?
>>96085633Did you pick the Jesus perk?
>>96085496He's not going to "fix" it because he considers it a feature.
And he's right
>>96084992We do have a Ronin Kenshin jump yes.
What jumps would you do as Tatsuya Kaname after the events of Oriko Magica, culminating in a an end jump before Oriko kills Madoka?
>>96086029Thanks. I actually already found it. I thought I posted that I didn't need it anymore.

[Make the Exorcist Fall In Love redux]
>Previously on Exorcist Eternal: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/93873446/#93884573
The boy's eyes glazed over as I explained what temperature play, electric shock play, and muckbang. He twitched in place as I explained frotting, sounding and penis fencing. And he looked like his soul was leaving his body when I explained klismaphilia.
"And that" I said dryly, a few hours later, "concludes my lecture on the tamer examples of sex"
"T-tamer?!"
"The demon in your midst is a pathetic excuse for a succubus. Now that you comprehend these acts, she should have NO surprises capable of traumatising you with"
"Don't worry Mr. Saint" said the boy firmly, "I won't let any harm come to Imuri while you're off slaughtering demons in Hell!"
I just stared at him. "...Mr. Saint? D-did I say something wrong?"
"...not as such. We'd have done things differently if I had my way, but in His divine plan it's the prerogative of the young to learn by trial and error"
The boy known as Mr. Priest stared as I strode off and started to triple-check the armaments I had prepared. Angelic matter called down from on high swirled in the form of nanomachines. Sacred geometries pulsed in tandem with the etchings on my flesh. Energy weapons inlaid with blessings thrummed with matter-destroying radiance at my approach. Palm-sized drones whirred about, cycling their holy energy weapons.
Limiting my powers to this avatar wasn't much of an obstacle when my cosmic consciousness had figured out how to alloy heavenly power into matter and energy at a glance.
"You know Mr. Priest" I said finally, "you remind me of myself when I was working for the Lord"
"...how?"
"Well for one thing, it's how you've clearly lost the will to live. But can't bear to die and have it all be for nothing, either. Trust me, I've been there, and the only way forwards is straight through that gosh darned valley of the shadow of death"

>>96087099"That can't be the case!" he protested. "You're about to fight all the legions of Hell on your own! Face down demon lords, by yourself!"
"Ah, but I'm not by myself" I said, gesturing for a miniature moon and something with silvering wings to rest on my palm. Followed by the angel Raphael of this world. "Way I see it, I've just got more experience working with our mutual comrades. That's all"
For the valley of the shadow of death, I thought, is wherever God bade me to walk. "I just can't see it, Mr. Saint" said the boy, hanging his head. "You're succeeding at things I'm just learning are there"
"...succeed? Yes, that's what I was told at the end of the fourth Ordeal Call" I said softly. "Look. Whe-if you ever find a reason to abandon the path you're on, just remember God loves watching people get back up as much as He loves watching them actually rise. But listen to me, an old man warbling about past glories. You want some practical advice?"
"Always!"
"Reread the Bible" I called over my shoulder as a portal sent me straight to Hell. "You're doing as well as can be expected, but you're leaving the REALLY deadly verses on the table. Don't HESITATE. Check out Psalms. Check out both Kings books, Numbers, 2 Samuel and Judges"
As the barrier to the demon world shut and the boy sputtered in confusion, I added "But save Genesis and Revelations for until you're really up against the wall!"
>Lust"Mortal you can't come in here, this is the domain of the demon lord AsmodeuARRRGH" was the most common greeting I received as I walked into the demonic palace, making a direct beeline for a very disgruntled demon lord of Lust. "Oh look, another one" she said in a huff. "Ara, are my subjects...?"
"Not worth expending the energy to kill. You're all doomed" I said dismissively. A chorus of groans went up behind me, demons sealed and impaled with tiny holy acupuncture needles on the floor.
2/6
>>96087107Asmodeus, grotesque amalgamation of dead animal parts from the waist down and typical anime waifu from the waist up, raised an eyebrow. "Oh, my. However should I thank you for sparing my subjects~"
"Putting on the charm already? I suppose I can't blame a demon for playing her role to the hilt. I'll cut to the chase" I said briskly even as amorphous appendages started to wrap around my legs. "I'm here the exact Heaven's vengeance on behalf of mankind, in direct response to the Demon Lords' ravages. No more, no less. You and me, one on one"
"Oh? Interesting. And how will you do that, new meat?"
"By beating you at your own game. I won't take the Lord's name in vain, but I understand your kind enjoy contracts? You have an hour to make me ejaculate, with all your powers. If you make me ejaculate, my soul is yours. If you fail or orgasm yourself first, I demand your submission to divine judgement as well as the right to obtain a seventh of your power in an inert form. Finally, as my first 'customer' I will limit myself to using two miracles. How about it?"
Her eyes damn near bulged out of her skull. "You're SO on, choirboy! Any last words?"
I smiled faintly, as I spread my legs and exposed my penis. "Ezekiel 23:19-20"
Immediately Asmodeus fell upon me, visiting all manner of violation and horror. Or at least attempting to as femtomachines reknit my flesh, forcefields of angelic energy flashed and spat against her assault and my mind simply weathered her cursed temptations with utmost indifference. Something was wrong. As she seduced feverishly, Asmodeus felt her own loins moistened, her own breasts grow heavy with demon milk, her-
"N-nO! NoT lIkE ThIS!! Beaten aT mY oWN gaME...oN mY oWN TURF???" she howled, unable to restrain the miraculously enforced orgasm between her legs.
"Deuteronomy 25:11-12" I said, a death sentence marked by falling angelic blades.

>>96087114>Greed"Dammit dammit DAMMIT!" shouted a suit-wearing man, pounding on the inside of a gate to hell (Leviathan yelled at him to stop hitting her teeth from far away). "A fight, a REAL fight between REAL men, that's all I wanted!"
"We might be able to help each other" I offered. He whirled around, at first affronted I had hacked into his holdings and put some of his comrades into cages-then breaking out in a fierce grin when I tossed him a lucha libre mask while donning my own. "Oh. Oh YEAH, it doesn't get more manly than this!"
"Hosea 12:4" I said. To his credit, Mammon didn't back down from a literal ladder match-but in the end I suplexed him into another Gehenna.
>EnvyThis, I thought watching the giant sea monster falling from on high, was just like playing with my daughters in the olden days. She was surprised but delighted when after running into one human capable of playing with her, she fell atop another who instead of running simply intoned "Judges 16:28-30" and started cleaning and jerking her bodyweight like the world's biggest beachball.
Almost all of Hell stared aghast as I proceeded to use the Demon Lord Leviathan as a glorified beachball in between giving her tummy rubs and headpats.
>GluttonyThe Lord of Flies was a bad matchup for a human in sheer endurance.
"Deuteronomy 11:17"
Fortunately he wasn't himself when he was hungry, and after running him ragged around the Gehennas he was very, very tired when he had to come up to the surface and fight Mr. Priest.
>WrathThe true mastermind was very surprised when the real Archangel Michael's sword cut him in half.
>Sloth"H-hey, this is a private area! I'm in the middle of a scheme to-" babbled Belphegor as I walked up, stared at his...court, and said "Mark 6:31" gently to him before leaving.
Belphegor blinked. He stared at Mr. Priest, who was currently... "Well, perhaps I can let him enjoy a happy dream for a while longer"
4/6
>>96087119>Pride"Hey, I'm incredibly glad to meet you! Do you know why? Because you're the first person in AGES I've never anticipated!" asked the shounen protagonist who was this world's version of Lucifer.
"I think" I said, blinking, "you may well just be my second favourite version of the Devil ever"
"Hell yeah! Wait, who's the first guy?!"
"Your plan" I said, ignoring him. "is admirable. But I've already committed to helping a friend. So I'm going to offer you a few tips from personal experience. Then we're both going to wait for Mr. Priest to get here"
"Well, I can't fault your loyalty. And I can see the data written on your cellular structure, clear as day. I LOVE what you've done to that human vessel of yours" he said. "even if it's somewhat...incomplete"
"I'm waiting for the right catalyst to present itself" I said meaningfully.
"...I see. So even you can't escape the plan?"
"I can and have. I just don't want to. When this is over, remind me to tell you about the fourth Ordeal Call too, if only you knew how good you have it here"
Inevitably Mr. Priest showed up, in desperate need to kill a friend-and realising I was standing between him and Lucifer's ritual. "Hey, kiddo. Remember what I said about abanding your path?"
"Please Mr. Saint, it's Imuri-"
"I know"
"Lucifer will destroy Hell trying to evolve the demons-"
"I know" I repeated, "and what of it? It is after all, God who wills this place's destruction. Why shouldn't I just...help it along?"
"Because it's Imuri's home, Mr. Saint" he said timidly.
"Then, Mr. Priest" I said patiently and with great kindness, "you have no choice but to kill me since I've become an obstacle in your way"
"No!"
"Boy" I said, pointing at my own throat, "it is not a sin to fight for those you love. You are gentle. You do not like to hurt. But it is because you cherish life that you must protect it. Please drop your restraints, and just...let it go. For her sake"

I'm proud of him.
So's Lucifer.
"..j...ohn...eigh...t...s-even..." I force my shattered throat to spit out, turning my own death into a redemptive sacrifice for a very, very special demon lord.
...
"WHAT?!" yelped Mr. Priest as all the demonic energy I'd claimed suddenly reconciled instantly with his angelic energy, As Leviathan showed up with many, many demons unwilling to see their Hell go down without a fight. And as my tumbling almost-corpse scrawled out GENESIS 5:24 on the ground, resulting in a thunderous series of trumpet blasts as the cardinal archangels and the angelic matter implants in my body started resonating-resurrecting me, and filling me up with divine power.
"Y-YOU'RE ALIVE?!"
"Resurrection! Resurrection Mr. Priest, it's a miracle repeated in multiple tellings of Jesus' life! Death is a small thing" I exclaimed. "especially to burn away my own mortality!"
"...I have issues with that statement but I'm glad you're okay" he mumbled.
"I don't" said Lucifer cheerfully. "The fact that this guy independently, without ANY input from me, successfully remade himself into a divine being has got me REALLY pumped up! Even if that means we've got to fight while I hold my hand in place!"
"Boy, remember what I said about holding Revelations in reserve?" I stage-whispered.
"YEAH. One lake of fire, coming right up" he said grimly, as we prepared to face the wrath of the once-highest angel together.

Jumper looked up at the magnificent building. Amaterasu looked more like a palace than a power plant. “Why'd you want to meet me here?”
“I was brought here as a rookie by my captain,” Jumper's new captain said. “Amaterasu is how we built back against the Great Calamity, when the world burned down. For we who fight Spontaneous Human Combustion, it's an important symbol.” Jumper nodded politely. The other man observed his reaction closely, then visibly wilted. “Come on, let's go.”
Captain wants me to think he's cool, Jumper realized. I should be nice to him.

The struggle with Levi very, very clearly showed he's not anywhere near Lucifer's level but at the same time it's been shown the only non-Lucifer demon lords who can manifest angelic stuff are those who got their hands on pieces of angels? So either Satan has a vivisected angel in storage or there's something else going on.

The exiled fairy sorceress sighed heavily as I continued to ignore the many, insufficiently logical plot advancement objects scattered around the world, and continue to violently slam my forehead against the door of the evil wizard's tower. "Master?"
I tilted my head slightly at the sight of the plane. Castles sculpted from clouds drifted over a silvery-grey sea comprised of rarified mathematics and geometries given substance. Here and there, stark lines of white light marked the leylines of the land, and where they accumulated geometric shapes rose and unleashed torrents of White mana upwards. The sole dominant species that inhabited it was angels, though the plane itself had a nascent sentience that regarded the angels as extensions of itself. And the angels appeared to have two activities: Condensing mana into more perfect, rarified forms, and worshipping me.
It was like the plane itself was in love with me. How odd.
"Master, what is your bidding?" repeated the angel. I squinted at her. To my mild disappointment it was not actually an angel. It was in fact a human planeswalker that had at some point accumulated so much mana as to be functionally indistinguishable from an angel.
"Tell me the nature of this plane and it's seven siblings" I ordered, as her eyes lit up. "We have long foretold the imminent end of the Blind Eternities, heralded by a savior who will carve paradise from it's horrific expanse! That is why I and my sisters believe we were chosen by the Spark, to help you impose order on the anarchy of the multiverse!"
"WOW you are REALLY pandering to me huh?!" I yelled in a direction nobody else saw.
LOOK MAN I'D JUST REALLY LIKE TO SEE AN UNCOMPLEATED MULTIVERSE, OKAY? said the Benefactor.
"W-who are you talking to?" asked the angel-LARPing planeswalker.

Another angel-LARPing planeswalker suddenly entered. "Sister. Master. There is an unpleasant bearded man trying to enter our Eightfold Ecumene"
"Oh, that's just Urza. Living proof that Planeswalkers are the real menace of this world" I said dismissively.
"W-what? Master surely you don't mean the Phyrexian are the lesser evil-"
"Not in their present form, no. Don't you lot worry, I'm about to kill two birds with one stone"
"Then should we smite the heretic Urza first?"
"Don't give him the dignity of personal attention. Just shore up the defences and let him stew until he self-destructs, that's the best way to deal with Urza"
Several hours later, was Yawgmoth eying me with hunger, envy and yearning as I showed up on his plane with a chi engine in one hand and detailed schematics on femtomachine-enhanced biology in another. His instinctive megalomania quickly veered to scientific curiosity.
...
And while he was distracted, I simply used the time machine I'd SUCCESSFULLY built a few days ago due to the Phyrexians being otherwise occupied to go back in time, siphon away all the magic on Thran and have it subjugated by my own planes instead. Retconning away the Phyrexian threat.
...
"NO!!!" bellowed Urza, ripping a hole in space and time just to come back and get revenge on me. Crackling with cosmic power. "How DARE you flee from your deserved end! I shall destroy you with-ow" he moaned as I shot him with a dart. "What...what was that?"
"Reality chip"
"...what?"
"In ONE future, Phyrexians eventually figure out how to compleat Planeswalkers. Go have fun there and stop bothering me"
Wracked with the changing oil, he screamed in horror as I tossed him back through a portal in time where Phyrexian perfection was law, while I started work on an alternative multiverse preservation scheme.

I stared at the Chaos Gods.
They stared hopefully at me.
"Okay so, hear me out-" began Tzeentch.
"You're trying this again? Really?" I snapped. "Emperor. Initiative Double Anathema protocol"
"Double Anathema online and aimed right at you. I protect" declared the Emperor of Mankind. A burst of golden energy lanced out from distant Terra, resonating with my own as once again I started systematically resculpting my notional Chaos Daemon of Law form into a true Order God. With a few angry sentences of the Enuncia punctuated by Block Transfer Computations and a particularly vicious Quantum Mnemonics expletive .
The Chaos Gods had a brief moment to register the Emperor and I tearing away strands of their energy, condensing it around our own and firing them like psychic railguns directly into their Corpuses before they violently imploded along with all the daemons.
...
Almost all the daemons. There was a handful nervously cheering as I turned on them.

>>96092949"Explain yourselves" I demanded.
"I'm Necoho's handmaiden. He would congratulate you if he existed" said the least anxious one in tweed.
"I'm a manifestation of neurosis and autism!" said the one wearing oversized goggles, who was furiously programming with her toes. "I am the niggling impetus that drives mortal minds to build trainsets and play Sonic the Hedgehog long after getting married! Or passing marrying age, at least"
"...I am currently applying for a position as the Greater Bad, a rival figure to the Greater Good" sulked the one in a perverse vaguely asian dominatrix-like military uniform who looked constantly dejected. "It's. It's very hard trying to get the Tau to believe in liberating anarchy..."
"Oh cry me a river, I'M trying to be the bogeyman of the Votann, the calamity in the darkness of space incarnate. Call me the Stalking Dark" ranted the one in minor's overalls "HOW ABOUT YOU TRY MEANINGFULLY BOTHERING A SPECIES WITH INEXPLICABLE WARP RESISTANCE?"
"I'm not actually a daemon at all!" said the wolfgirl in a wolf pelt. "I'm actually a helpful guardian spirit of the Space Wolves, from the planet Fenris!"
Even with their own implausible backstories, the others immediately turned on her in disbelieving fury. "BULLSHIT"
"No it's true, go check, Fenris is just crawling with savage yet noble wolf spir-ACK!" yelped the wolfgirl as the daemonic(?) roll call devolved into an all-out brawl of daemons accusing each other of having impossible backstories.
I just kind of stared at the daemonic equivalent of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia for a while before deciding it was so pitiful that instead of destroying them, I just branded them with Surrender Oaths and planted them on my friendly giant frog-shaped planet (who WOULD have been the Immaterium proto-deity of the Old Ones if they hadn't lobotomised it long ago) before finding tutelary spirit positions for them in my cosmos.

>>96092225It was a shame that Captain "Princess" Hibana was so evil, and not just because she was so hot, lolfirepun. The fact of the matter was, power wouldn't fill the hole inside her.
"You're only hurting yourself," he told her. And indeed, her attacks were backfiring. Her dozens of small fire attacks, while beautiful (no, don't even think about it Jumper), were ineffective against a Second Generation with Jumper's control. Any ember that struck an unprotected part of his body became an armor plate, and the ones that struck his plates caused explosions she had to shrink back from. If he could get close to her, the fight would be over immediately, but she was surprisingly graceful in high heels.
"Don't you lecture me!" Hibana snapped, preparing a special attack.
"Sorry, I don't mean to. But it's obvious you're not happy. I'm sure you've seen it in the mirror, that scowl. Every day. Power and prestige doesn't make it go away, does it?"
"Shut up, fool." And she conjured a tree of fire. A cherry tree in full bloom. Beautiful. This time Jumper couldn't help himself, and got hit. That hurt, but what really threw him was the sudden, strong sense of vertigo.
For a moment, he had no idea where he was, but he powered through it. "Only people can make you smile."
(cont)
>>96093432Hibana was running out of room to backtrack, so she launched an even bigger attack of fire petals, and Jumper pulled out his trump card: the bracer on his arm that turned his armor plates into mines. He laid them out in a semicircle around and behind her, cornering her. She launched her last desperate attack-
-what a beautiful way this would be to die-
-no, focus!-
-he converted the petals into armor as they came, managing to juggle the heavy load-
-goofed it-
-protected all his vitals and exposed skin-
-Hibana's attack blew off his protective hat and coat-
-and his shirt-
-and his pants. Jumper stood there, frozen, mortified. He heard Iris say something like "There's two of them now" but he didn't fully register it. Because now he was NAKED in front of GIRLS.
After what seemed like an eternity of indecision, Jumper went dogeza. Hibana promptly stomped on him. And stomped on him some more. "That wasn't my fault," he managed.
"I didn't say you could speak," she said curtly. She stomped on him harder. Jumper thought she was going to drive her heel right through his skull, but eventually she stopped.
And then, oddly, surrendered. Or at least, agreed to work with Company 8. Jumper didn't really understand why, but it definitely had something to do with the new smile on her face.
Princess Hibana would come by Company 8 rather often after that. When she did, Jumper made sure to pull out all the stops at dinner, steak or chicken with either his famous mashed potatoes or sweet potato fries. Hibana was a demanding guest, and seemed to disdain actually eating with Company 8, and would usually join him in the kitchen.

I'd say 300 bucks for it and 300 bucks for awakening, 600 cp is good enough?
Psychoanon's one piece jump.
I mean, I have ways around it, so it doesn't matter if I still need to rub myself to summon it, but I feel like removing its need to rub contionusly and making it like a yonko commander, like queen or king in power its good enough? Not factoring any other summoning perks that boost summon's power.

>>96094334>300There's no 300 price tier. Were you accounting for the stipend when you wrote this? As for the fruit itself, you could give it whatever abilities you want. Paramecia fruits can do more magic bullshit than any other type of fruit. That being said, the canon version probably isn't worth 600 or maybe not even 400. 200 probably?
>>96094367I feel like 400 for it would be fair, since you are summoning an actual being that is intelligent and sapient. I know you mention fruits like luffy and big mom are 600, which is fair. But I really don't see the genie being worth very close to their price, since even at yonko physical stats, its got only physical stats and some smoke abilities.
I'm at 342 chapter of one piece, so I know the genie fights sanji post time skip, but I really don't know how strong sanji would be and if an awakening would put the genie aroun yonko commander level.
I feel like 400cp for it is too much, its got sentience and sapience, but that's its special ability, beyond being strong. 300 is decent in my opinion.
>>96092101I don't know, there is still quite a few reveals left in the series.
Right now I was thinking that I could just remove the background restriction for the capstones, seeing how Father-kun is becoming a Demon Lord by getting the blessings/powers of the demon lords he fought and how Lucifer can use the same free-form miracles than Father can.
Probably would need to add Michael's Sword Replica and Lucifer's incomplete omniscience, and maybe Bel's Ark? Not sure if that counts as a regular spell.
And we still have Baba Yaga and whatever Satan has planned to deal with a demon lord Father-kun.
>>96092351He is just a cute tsundere rival. Also, Lucifer also said that Bel's plan could have succeeded and that he would have been happy with that ending too, meaning that Bel's barricade worked not only on Mammon but on all Demon Lords and also the angels.
>not anywhere near Lucifer's level but at the same time it's been shown the only non-Lucifer demon lords who can manifest angelic stuff are those who got their hands on pieces of angels? So either Satan has a vivisected angel in storage or there's something else going on.I think Lucifer is the strongest Demon Lord mostly because a matter of compatibility right now. Sure, he probably has the most raw power, but it was said no demon can't win against the angelic power of Satan's sword. And Lucifer holds the same power.
Also, Satan's angelic power comes from his sword, which is a replica of Michael's sword. How he can wield it freely is still to be seeing. We probably need to wait to see who is the person frozen in Cocytus (seems like Lilith).
>>96094404That tier of pricing just doesn't exist is what I'm telling you. I'd lean more towards 200 cuz I don't remember it doing anything particularly impressive.
>Yonko physical statsHaving Yonko physical stats is insane. There's like 4 characters in the entire series that could easily beat someone with Yonko physical stats and those characters are basically gods. Luffy's awakened fruit could arguably get you to Yonko level on its own and that's a cumulative 900 points. Granted, physical stats aren't all there is to a Yonko's power since at least half the equation is Haki.

>>96094429Ok bro, in the doc it says something about low level logia also being 200 cp so since the genie is objectively below a logia, even a weak one, I'll just put it at 200.

>>96094451I'm pretty sure the strength of the genie is its own and independent of the user. The 9 year old would have the same exact genie in terms of power as the big mom son using it. Nta.
>>96094449>objectively below a logiaLogias are really overhyped at the beginning of the series.
>King and Queen levelThat's probably fine.
>>96094451>Yeah, but generally Devil Fruits' strength is dependent on the user's. The fruit probably couldn't do shit if a random 9 year old ate itThats incorrect.
The various logia have the exact same power unawakened regardless of age.
The only exception to this would fruits that actually use your body as the baseline for something,
>>96094459Based on what? Zoan DFs have animal souls in them and the user's strength they get from the fruit is still dependent on their own strength and not the strength of the soul in the fruit
>>96094463>The various logia have the exact same power unawakened regardless of age.No they don't. The Admirals had to train to be able to change the climates of whole islands. The only thing that's the same is it turning your body into the type of fruit. I'm pretty sure Oda even said as much in an SBS.
>>96094467>No they don't. The Admirals had to train to be able to change the climates of whole islands. You are mistaking learning how to use the fruit vs raw power. Those are entirely different things.
The raw power the fruit is exactly the same regardless of who uses it. If you don't understand this, you actually don't know how shit works in one piece.
>>96094465The one piece wiki says the user us unchanged by the devil fruit upon eating it, the user doesn't gain any spacial abilities beyond rubbing creating the genie.
There is no indication that being physically strong or weak would affect the genie itself.
>>96094473>The raw power the fruit is exactly the same regardless of who uses it.No, you are just wrong. Luffy had to train to unlock higher gears. Momonosuke had to become an adult to be a big dragon like Kaido and not a shitty tiny dragon. Law unlocked more abilities by training his fruit. People explicitly train their fruit powers to make them stronger.
>>96094482That's how devil fruits work in general. Not all of them work like that, to be fair, so maybe it could have a flat strength, but generally speaking the strength of the fruit scales with the user.
>>96094498>No, you are just wrong. Luffy had to train to unlock higher gearsNo I'm not, you're mistaking skill for power. Luffy "unlocked" something that was already there. That is a skill you idiot. ODA has fucking said devil fruits power doesn't grow, the user becomes more skilled. Now awakening throws that in question frankly, but even that is just use new uses of the fruit and not an increase in the raw power of the fruit itself. The raw power of the fruit stays the same.
You are being an actual retard.
>>96094501But this would make the genie really broken in the hands of a jumper. I always complete jojo jumps first, yours, since jojo is my favourite anime. Even pretending stands dont exist, nobody in one piece is beating a vampire with hamon or an ultimate lifeform jumper.
I really hope the genie could eat another devil fruit, maybe if i buy your " za ha ha ha" perk i could wank it and give the genie a devil fruit?
>>96094516Where did Oda say that?
>>96094520>Nobody in One Piece is beating a vampire with Hamon or an ultimate lifeform Just keep reading, little bro. My god...
>>96094531I've seen mihaw cut through ice at marine fort for example. That's impressive, but cellular manipulation like kars or even just vampirism with no sunlight weakness. Would be way too much for any one piece character. Sure, drop kars into one piece in onigashima and kaido would splatter him in 2 seconds, max. Assuming armament haki protects you from being eaten by the pillarmens absorbing ability. I don't think it will. But anyway, kars has a 400 iq and wont need to sleep or eat for years as an ulf being. He could learn haki and conquerors so fast, he'd wreck everyone and i don't think one piece characters can survive hamon that is as hot as the surface of the sun if magma devil fruit is the most powerful logia devil fruit.
Plus, can't kars just make devil fruits himself anyway?
Cultivator Jumpers. Did you jump directly into cultivation in your chain or did you start in less meditation / absurd power growth jumps. If you started in non-cultivation jumps how did they affect your foundation / ease your cultivation?
>>96094544Jumpers would get eaten alive in a cultivation jump without massive plot armour, especially 1st time jumpers.
No, you are courting death.
>>96094541Multiple characters could probably straight up disintegrate Kars. Aokiji could just freeze him, which was canonically how he lost. Many other devil fruits render him helpless through magic bullshit.
>Magma devil fruit is the most powerful Logia devil fruitThey can also withstand lightning, which is 5 times hotter than the sun. I wouldn't put too much stock into using science as a basis for anything in One Piece. It didn't even reduce Joseph to ash on contact and he's basically a normal human, so the explicitly superhuman One Piece characters are gonna be fine. The flesh thing could be an issue for a lot of characters but there's like no way he's as fast as high tier One Piece characters to even hit them in the first place. He literally just gets stay checked.
>Can't he make devil fruitsNo. They're magical, not biological.
>>96094531>Where did Oda say that?I'm not going through a million SBS archives to find where he talks about it.
Please give me a single example of someone using a devil fruit power increases its raw power, that isn't attributed to literally just better understanding of the fruits power set/skill. I'll wait I already know you can't because devil fruits are basically green latern rings. There is a set power, and you can come with a lot of different ways of using it or become more skilled at using it, but that is just using the power in a clever way.
There are external ways of increasing devil fruit power like rumble balls theotrically.
But there is quite literally not a single example int he entire fucking story of one piece where a devil fruit that lets say shoots fire, becomes able to shoot MORE fire.
Or for example the TON TON fruit.
Every single luffy example of his fruit, is him just coming up with new ways of using the fruit.
Doesn't vegapunk make devil fruits? What about smile fruits? Vegapunk has a brain fruit, so his iq is probably a lot bigger than 400.
But again, kars has forever to train in haki and eat one piece characters to get nourishment.
Obviously, a jumper with vampirism or ulf abilities and stands would wreck one piece, like WoU stand power. But we're just talking physical powers here.
>>96094575>Doesn't vegapunk make devil fruits? He replicates them, but he can only replicate zoans more or less perfectly. He couldn't replicate logias at all, and the paramecia fruits have to use "green blood" to mimic the powers correctly.
Also the only reason Kars would lose against logia users is the lack of the way of hurting them. Otherwise he basically mogs all non logia users.
>>96094544I hold off on cultivation jumps to do a bunch of lower level martial arts jumps and body focused jumps, so when I make it to the cultivation jump my body is god tier.
>>96094573So you made it up. Good to know.
>Please give me a single example of someone using a devil fruit power increases its raw power, that isn't attributed to literally just better understanding of the fruits power set/skill.Did you read my last post at all? You very conveniently ignored the Momonosuke example. If you want another example, Robin can now manifest giant limbs and a demon Avatar with her fruit. That has nothing to do with her understanding of it. It's just a stronger power than before.
>>96092465Because careless murder is bad even if you can fix it later. Imagine a healer beating you within an inch of your life and restoring you afterwards, its still assault in the end even if the damage got fixed.
>>96094575Vegapunk's brain fruit just gives him infinite mental storage capacity.
>Eat one Piece characters If he eats multiple Devil fruit users he'll accidentally get their powers and blow up, though I don't know if that would really kill him it seems like it could if it can kill basically any character in the One Piece universe.
>>96094595Nah, its character growth event. Being beaten within an inch or your life and healed in seconds would be good for your growth as person.
Trust me bro.
>>96094595Some would say that it's romantic.
>>96094588>Otherwise he basically mogs all non logia users. This is like saying Kars mogs the 5 Kage from Naruto.
>>96094593>So you made it up. Good to know. Not an argument.
Did you read my last post at all?
Yes, its bad.
>Momonosuke had to become an adult to be a big dragon like Kaido and not a shitty tiny dragonI already addressed this you fucking moron.
>The only exception to this would fruits that actually use your body as the baseline for something,That isn't the fruit growing stronger you completely fucking dipshit. For example moron. If a fruit were to use how much you WEIGH to do something and you got FATTER, that isn't the fruit growing stronger now it is. It's doing the same thing, but you did something externally to make the base line ability stronger.
A zoan fruit is going to use the body as a baseline so a child is going to be a cub, then he gets older then like he the body of a lion.
>Robin can now manifest giant limbs and a demon Avatar with her fruit.Which is a skill use dipshit. Her manifesting of big limbs are often depicted as a combo of multiple limbs together or maybe thats unlocked via awakening. Regardless, skill use, not baseline increase.
Please try again you fucking moron.
>>96094612No it isn't. Kars can also just kill humans by touching them.
There is basically only two non logias that are a threat and its just a game of rocket tag at that point. Which is the rumble fruit and op fruit.
>>96094621>>96094613I can't stand you retarded spics. I'm so sick of your bullshit.

Honestly, kars or a vampire with big mom's devil fruit would probably buck break the setting of one piece.
>>96094628You know what? Nice bait. You got me to bite, I admit it.
>>96094638My post wasn't bait. It's how they actually work, You can't back up your claim with any proof because there are no examples in entire fucking manga where the raw strength of the fruit itself changes. Only how the user themselves use them.

Also my current fan theory is that the reason no Logia's have awakened yet is because of the fact that the closer you are in the way you act to the nature of your devil fruit the more likely you are to awaken it. Which is hard to do for the elemental logia's since elements have many emotional attributions.
>>96094833Shit you're correct. I mean the Gura Gura no Mi.
>>96094845>I'm pretty certain output of a Logia is tied to their stamina. The series has never been consistent on that, since we see people spam their powers nonstop like persona and I'm pretty sure that bitch isn't doing cardio.
>>96094854>since we see people spam their powers nonstop like persona and I'm pretty sure that bitch isn't doing cardio.Which ones? Cause like Caesar Clown modified his so his example is inconsistent, Enel's is broken out of the box and the guy is surprisingly durable considering he takes a Reject dial and then keeps going for quite a bit after taking many hard hits from Luffy. I think Caribou is some of the weakest logia showings but he also isn't that strong outside of the "most people can't damage him" thing.

>>96094894>>96094871Oh shes not a logia, but shes someone that has a power that projects something.
Logia examples, I mean all of the logia users just spam their powers endlessly. When do you ever see a single logia user get winded from power use?
>>96094824I just finished the fourth magic out of a total of 31. Only 27 more to go.
>>96094913>>96094871In fact the only fruit I remember off the top of my head as having stamina issues is the OP OP fruit and I feel like that was literally just ODE throwing in alimitation because the fruit is overpowered as shit
>>96094913>When do you ever see a single logia user get winded from power use?I mean most Logia's we see only do so for short periods of time or are freaks of nature like Ace or Blackbeard who can fight for weeks. But regardless what I am trying to get at is that I believe Logia moderate their powers so that they don't overexert themselves when using their abilities unless they are doing something that NEEDS all the power like Akainu and Aokiji on Punk Hazard. But I assume there is a reason Ace doesn't use stuff like Great Flame Commandment whenever he fights someone on par with his level and that's cause using that much power probably is tiring but smaller invocations aren't.
>>96094929Luffy's Gear 5 does have stamina issues but they are being mitigated as he uses it more and presumably builds stamina.
>>96094947The issue is the only stated example of stam issues that I know of period with devil fruits is the OP OP fruit so thats just raw speculation with no proof of it being true or false. Also not a logia.
The other issue, is that even if out put is determined by stam, that isn't the fruit getting stronger.A fruit getting more powerful would be like the flame fruit actually being able to increase the limit of how hot the flames actually are over time. Using the body stam is baseline human ability not power of the fruit.
>>96094962>A fruit getting more powerful would be like the flame fruit actually being able to increase the limit of how hot the flames actually are over time. Using the body stam is baseline human ability not power of the fruit. That's a weird way to put it. In that case I suppose they don't? By that concept a devil fruit awakening wouldn't be the fruit getting stronger it's just the user figuring it out and being most adept in its use as well.
>>96094970>That's a weird way to put it. In that case I suppose they don't? By that concept a devil fruit awakening wouldn't be the fruit getting stronger it's just the user figuring it out and being most adept in its use as well. It's not really a weird concept though. Can you build stam without having a devil fruit power? The answer is obviously yes.
>By that concept a devil fruit awakening wouldn't be the fruit getting stronger it's just the user figuring it out and being most adept in its use as well.Yes. Exactly. Awakening the fruit is just something the fruit could always do, you just weren't skilled enough to do it or hadn't learned the trick.
Devil fruits have skill curves, That isn't in dispute.
Devil fruit users get more skilled at using their power and a lot of their limit are simply imagination. With some exceptions, like basic bitch zoans or something.
I imagine there are just some fruits you can't do that much with.
>>96094991>Devil fruit users get more skilled at using their power and a lot of their limit are simply imaginationMy point was more that it's not "just" skill. There are some aspects of each power that are tied to aspects of the wielder. Like obviously Nico Robin's limbs get stronger as she works out and she can make more of them, that requires a bit more than just "knowing more about the power".
>>96094892No problem.

Robin can get swole without the fruit.
It should be noted btw, its not like the body of the user itself is consistent.
Psychoanon tried to use Momonosuke as an argument but that is an artificial devil fruit for one. So its not clear if that alone had any sort of effect.
But that one for example he was stuck as a child dragon until he became an adult and then he could become an adult dragon I guess. But thats still going on baseline body.
HOWEVER. We know that there are devil fruits that are fed to swords and that basically entirely fucking ignores the age of the sword, the size of the sword, it just automatically becomes a giant fucking elephant. Pic related.
If its the case that zoan furits have SOULS,
It's possible that if momo had eaten the real fruit he could have become a full dragon at the start and this is a problem with the artificial fruits soul I dunno.
That part is pure speculation.
>>96095022>Coffin of Andy and Leyley.Hopefully there is an option to start the jump as young andy so I can stop leyley from committing murder and mold her into the yandere I want.
>>96095022>Coffin of Andy and Leyley.I'm baffled at how long it has taken for someone to make a jump for this considering how popular it was.
So basically a lore accurate one piece devil fruit awakening, of the genie fruit. Wont make my devil fruit 10x stronger, just "enlightenment" of sorts where I actually understand how and what my devil fruit is and works. I mean, devil fruits supposedly automatically allow you to know what they do if you eat them. Supposedly.
Whatever, i'll just cheat and game the setting by using some dumb summoning perk from another jump.
If I was in one piece and forced at gunpoint to eat a devil fruit, i'd probably eat the invisible devil fruit and peek at women's bathrooms and steal candy and food from stores, while being invisible.
>>96095063>Wont make my devil fruit 10x stronger,All you really see from it is increased versatility as far as I can tell.
But we don't really see that many awakened fruits.
I mean what the fuck is awakening buggys fruit going to do for example?
>>96095057Jumpmakers are largely autistic and autists prefer to stick with what they know instead of trying new things.
>>96095025>And my point that is unrelated to the power itself. Robin can get swole without the fruit. We are talking about using a power better? By training to be more durable she mitigates the drawbacks of feedback injuries from the limbs she projects and by getting stronger her limbs can leverage more force. Just cause she can get swole without the fruit doesn't make the fruit, or how the body connects to the fruit, irrelevant.
>>>96095063>I mean, devil fruits supposedly automatically allow you to know what they do if you eat them. Supposedly. They do provide basic knowledge of how they work. But its mainly in terms of how to activate not in all the possible uses. Like take Ace. He almost certainly knew how to spew fire and become fire from the start. But his technique firefly light required him to learn how to remotely activate and expand small balls of fire.
>>96095079>All you really see from it is increased versatility as far as I can tell.Awakened Zoans are just flat up more durable, faster, and stronger. Paramecia are more versatile. Mythical Zoans due to also having Paramecia-like abilities tend to get both.
>>96095057The game wasn't done and still isn't, I'm just making it early because I can't wait anymore and there was a new chapter release back in April.
>>96095089>We are talking about using a power better? I already said there is a skill curve and I already talked about body baseline. Robins fruit just uses whatever her baseline is.
and my elephant example kinda throws a lot of assumptions on even how that works into question because how does a sword have stam. How does a sword increase its stam. How does any of that work.
>>96095109>and my elephant example kinda throws a lot of assumptions on even how that works into question because how does a sword have stam. How does a sword increase its stam. How does any of that work.Zoans explicitly do have subconcious wills of their own I believe this was stated in story. Also a sword probably has stamina based on how well it was forged. Honestly this shouldn't be too surprising since Zoro's swords are often portrayed as demonic and Enma tries to take your haki.
>>96095124>>96095109Also this does technically mean that if your sword exercises in it's zoan form it might improve the quality of it's sword form.
>>96095128NTA
Probably not, but zoans give you a permanend boost in physical stats, so its possible the sword's normal form was improved somewhat after it became an animal.
>>96094991CORRECT, the GOHAN-GOHAN fruit is only useful for filling you with immeasurable disappointment and anti-intellectual rage.

Honestly this shouldn't be too surprising since Zoro's swords are often portrayed as demonic and Enma tries to take your haki.Yeah but my point is for that is regarding the age of the user.
Is a sword considered an adult because its complete? If the sword is half finished is it considered a child? Is it going straightly by how long the sword has existed. I wonder how that works.
I personally just think the artificial dragon fruit example that Psycho used, is because those fruits don't have souls or new souls, so it goes off the state of the user.
Are there any other examples of child zoan users that have like young animal form of their fruit? I can't think of one off the top of my head.

>>96098505NTA but same. i've been using a thousand li as a babys first cultivation jump ever since it dropped.
>>96098522A Thousand Li is actually a higher level than Tales of Demons and Gods, and World of Cultivation. Mostly because of the absolute bullshit you get up to at Nascent Soul level, but being able to launch an attack that cuts everyone off into the horizon is bullshit too
>>96098522Also, very good choice as a first jump for being a cultivator. That True World Spirit Ring is absurdly helpful for ensuring you have an ample supply of cultivation resources
>>96098533Oh really? I always got the feeling world of cultivation was much stronger. Or was that world seed. Could be misremembering the two. I don't know tales of demons and gods to well aside from apparently the MC being a utter bastard.
>>96094544I went straight in. The first stage of the Triune Scriptures makes for a good powerbase.
>>96098619World of Cultivation supposedly caps out at being able to destroy mountains, if anons here can be trusted.
Tales of Demons and Gods caps out at being able to lift like five tons, unless you luck into picking up a Law that doesn't have a god already. Or find another way to advance.
question for RWBY jumpers/loreknowers:
is salem's blood literally grimmjuice? like the same shit as the puddles that the dumb monsters come out of?
>>96098626Given the first stage of triune scripture at the end can apparently match hylia/Demise from the main zelda timeline. It would be a very very good powerbase.
>>96098641Oh interesting. Maybe I'll have to do tales of demons and gods earlier then next time.
Though now that its brought up I kinda do want to start a fresh xianxia chain.
>>96098680>Given the first stage of triune scripture at the end can apparently match hylia/Demise from the main zelda timeline. It would be a very very good powerbase. That’s the end of the first realm, the first stage is more Link and Zelda level.
>>96098709Ah right. I mixed up stage and realm there. My bad. Thats fair first stage is much more grounded though still quite flexible and i'd peg as a decent bit above the average zelda/link. Still does its job of being a danm good powerbase start though. Maybe I'll try that sometime with a new chain.
>>96098662It's ambiguous what Salem's biology is now being a post-mortal evil slime witch bitch, but when Hazel allahu ackbars her, she gets splattered into a smear of black sludge that starts slowly and automatically reconstructing itself.
>>96098764>Still does its job of being a danm good powerbase start though.Yeah, it’s the kind of thing that can carry you through plenty of street level jumps without being so powerful the setting can’t do anything to challenge you.
>Maybe I'll try that sometime with a new chain.I usually go to Generic Xianxia to learn the Triune Scriptures, you can have a lot of fun with the idea of learning them there. Picking up expies of the Oracles as companions is nice.
>>96098833>I usually go to Generic Xianxia to learn the Triune Scriptures, you can have a lot of fun with the idea of learning them there. Picking up expies of the Oracles as companions is nice.Fair. I just gotta figure out what purchases in generic xianxia could be good for that to justify the Scriptures given there so strong a bit.
>>96098870All you have to do is take the 400 level of the Cultivation Technique item, and if you use a discount for it you can get it down to 200.
>>96098921Oh well that does simplify things a hell of a lot. A lot easier then going to the triune scriptures jump proper.
>>96098945You could even join a sect that cultivates the Triune Scriptures, and since it’s a generic you could have it be a very warm and welcoming place. It helps that except for the very beginning of Soul Compass, external resources, while useful, are not a requirement.
>>96098994Hmm I sort of like that idea. Though my first thought a bit is having cultivator society be a mix of standard xianxia ruthlessness with none scripture cultivators (Generally speaking there not all bad of course.) And generally, more merciful/Harmonic sub section of cultivators who follow the scriptures. Maybe the scripture cultivators all originally came from students of some legendary figure from long long ago who either discovered the triune scriptures or invented them before "Ascending" beyond the world there in.
Have some warm and welcoming places but still room for conflict.

>>96093498Jumper wasn't the smartest guy in Company 8, but he wasn't Arthur, either. Around the time Hibana started feeding him by hand, he got the hint.
Hibana was a demanding girlfriend. She demanded a lot of his time, she demanded he call her 'princess,' she demanded he hold the door open, she demanded he dress nice, not that his clothes stayed on very long. No 'netflix and chill' for her. When she went shopping, he had to carry her bags, he had to tell her how this dress or that top looked (and “good” only worked the first or second time), and he had to help her test shoes. Their heels, mainly.
Yes, Hibana hadn't stopped doing that. She liked to sit in Jumper's lap, but she also liked to step on him. If he wasn't careful cleaning or getting things from a bottom shelf, she would put her feet up on his back. He'd tried talking to her about it, but she was both adamant and tight-lipped, saying only that she liked it and would keep doing it.
This might normally be a deal breaker, but as previously noted, Hibana was super hot. In fact, Jumper, reflected, I might normally kind of like having a hot girlfriend into weird things, if it weren't for this dang drawback. This is worth way more than a hundred points. What a ripoff!
>>96099370Grand Moff Tarkin made a strategic miscalculation in thinking that investing in a wunderwaffe to blow up planets would cow dissidents rather than galvanizing them, where sinking that money, materiel, and manpower into modernizing the Imperial fleet would have paid much greater dividends.
Ol' Creamy Sheev basically doesn't even represent the Empire, he's a self-aware, mustache-twirling, puppy-kicking supervillain who slam-dunked millennia of Sith philosophy into the garbage so that he could revel in his own power and hated on everyone purely for the love of the game.
The Empire as an institution, yeah, basically nothing wrong.
>>96099500But life wasn't all fast women and loose cars. There were people trying to kill Jumper, and the rest of Company 8, and arguably everyone else. Except for Shinra, whom they needed alive. The junior members got into a large-scale battle when they went to recruit a talented engineer named Vulcan – which was a problem, because Jumper wasn't a direct fighter and Arthur didn't have his sword.
“We just need as much knightly stuff as possible, right?” Jumper got out his lighter, and lit it. With a flick of his finger, the flame turned blue and shot off, becoming a plasma plate on the wannabe knight. Normally the plates were hexagonal, but Jumper made them more triangular this time, layering them together to look like actual armor.
Arthur frowned, and poked at them. “This is good, but scale mail isn't really a knight thing,” he complained. “More like a... hoplite, thing.”
Jumper monkeyed with it, arranging the plates into a rectangular grid. “There, now it's samurai armor.”
“Then I shall be a SAMURAI knight king!” Arthur lit Excalibur, and indeed, Jumper's handiwork had made his sword bigger. (No homo.)
The battle didn't actually go that great. Arthur was silly but genuinely very strong, and Jumper's minefield helped. Unfortunately, the White Clad had an infiltrator, and while Jumper knew about her, he also knew that no one would believe him – especially not Vulcan.
Still, he slipped an armor plate under the back of Vulcan's shirt (they feel like nothing to the wearer), and when Lisa took him hostage, pushed the button on his bracer to remote detonate it, knocking her throw a wall. Vulcan was less than pleased about either of those things, but he agreed to work with Company 8 afterwards. They weren't able to capture either her or Dr. Giovani, but they were at least able to keep them from getting the key to Amaterasu, which Jumper hid in his secret bolt hole.
>>96099520>The Empire as an institution, yeah, basically nothing wrong.Holy BASED and REDPILLED.
>>96099409>Reminds me of what I’m writing for Generic Xianxia. I’ve got the idea of a Special Realm that was shaped by the Triune Scriptures, so the Courage (haven’t decided on proper names yet) realm is a vast, untamable wilderness filled with treasure and danger in equal measure. That sounds good. maybe I'll nick that a bit if your cool with it. Or have it be something made by triune scriptures as a training realm. Some vast wilderness they put in experienced enough students to find survive in and find a way out eventually. Almost sort of like a minecraft world but less blocky and more xianxiaish. If they manage to get out on there own through one of the expected proper ways. (or even a unexpected though still impressive way.) They move onto the next rank in the sect. And get to keep whatever home/base they made in the training dimension if they want.
>The main challenge of creating Heart Containers in Generic Xianxia is deciding which method to use. Are they a potion that takes an unusual shape, a weak artifact, something formed by an array? You’ve got several options.I admit I'm not sure. My gut thought is perhaps its a technique/small array taught to triune scriptures where if they defeat a strong enough void monster it transmutes the energy left behind by the monster into a heart container. Have it be originally be used by scripture users but its so useful it eventually gets adopted by other cultivator sects to.
Though now that im in a world building mood I think perhaps the reason not everyone does the scripture method is perhaps because of cultural differences and it's a fair bit harder then the standard cultivation methods in the world. They get seen as soft hearted or "weak" by the wider world from those inexperienced with them as a stereotype. But generally cut a smaller presence in the world outwardly because most tend not to boast

>>96099671>That sounds good. maybe I'll nick that a bit if your cool with it.I don’t have much written down at the moment, but here’s the description I have for the realm influenced by the Divine Delusion scripture.
>The Realm of Wisdom, so influenced by the Divine Delusion style, is an ever changing place. One might walk through a forest and emerge to find the ruins of a modern city, or descend deep into a cave to find a vast mountain that pierces the sky. The treasures of the realm do however tend to follow their surroundings, so if you wish to discover a set of blueprints for a hyperdrive you would need to find a space station.>I admit I'm not sure. My gut thought is perhaps its a technique/small array taught to triune scriptures where if they defeat a strong enough void monster it transmutes the energy left behind by the monster into a heart container. Have it be originally be used by scripture users but its so useful it eventually gets adopted by other cultivator sects to.My instinct is to use both the potion and array methods. For the potion side, you can make a Piece of Heart with ingredients that are fairly common and basic equipment, or if you’re skilled enough and have high quality equipment you can make an entire Heart Container. For the array method, a basic array can form a Piece of Heart in a week’s time, while the array of a master can form a Heart Container in about an hour.
>Though now that im in a world building mood I think perhaps the reason not everyone does the scripture method is perhaps because of cultural differences and it's a fair bit harder then the standard cultivation methods in the world. To pull an idea from my notes for Fire Emblem cultivation, other cultivation methods being quicker could be the way to go. You can triple cultivate the Triune Scriptures for 500 to 1000 years and reach the peak of the first realm, or you can cultivate something else and reach a comparable level in 100 years.
>>96099873>>96099671>They get seen as soft hearted or "weak" by the wider world from those inexperienced with them as a stereotype. Also they’d probably show a great deal of care for mortals living in their lands, which other cultivators would look down on. Meanwhile said mortals would revere them, and probably be the main source of new recruits.

>>96099873>I don’t have much written down at the moment, but here’s the description I have for the realm influenced by the Divine Delusion scripture.Sounds esoteric, like the realm of dreams almost in the magic style but a bit more material. Thanks May use chew on this a bit for world building.

>You can triple cultivate the Triune Scriptures for 500 to 1000 years and reach the peak of the first realm, or you can cultivate something else and reach a comparable level in 100 years. That was my thought process a bit to. The acorn take longer to take root but the oak that grows from them is all the mightier and nurtures more then just itself... or some such poetic saying I suppose.
>Also they’d probably show a great deal of care for mortals living in their lands, which other cultivators would look down on. Meanwhile said mortals would revere them, and probably be the main source of new recruits.Yeah I imagine there very kind by cultivator standards to mortals.
Thats honestly how I was thinking jumper would end up being part of them. He gets dumped into there lands and tries to wander a bit. Stick there neck out and try to help some people and eventually he gets noticed and scooped up as a recruit. And from there he gels with them fairly easily.
>Yeah, the Triune Scriptures practitioners would try to keep the peace.Keeping the peace, Promoting harmony and making sure the regions not in chaos energy wise. any number of things.
>>96099971>Sounds esoteric, like the realm of dreams almost in the magic style but a bit more material. One might say the danger of the realm is for the scholar. Can an inquisitive mind bear to depart a land where there will always be something new to discover?
>Thanks May use chew on this a bit for world building. The other idea I’ve fleshed out is each realm has a vast river running through it, with the rivers having special effects on those who immerse themselves in them.

>>96100061>>96099971>Courage Realm – Green River>Clears away physical infirmities to a far greater degree than the other rivers, a few hours of soaking would see a man at death’s door from age, missing limbs and badly injured, emerge hale and whole in the prime of life.>Improves your body and appearance, a few hours of soaking in the river each day for a week will be enough to make a sickly and homily person average, a month and you would stand at the peak of physical capability and be able to earn a living off your looks alone, three months and you would be five times stronger than any mortal and have a figure to inspire a generation of poets, nine months and you would be ten times greater than you could ever have reached purely through your own efforts, and only those who have never seen or heard you could doubt that you have the face, voice, and body of a god.>Improves your talent with God Body, not exceptionally so, but you would be in the top 10%.>Hmm fair. I could see that.Yeah, Heart Containers are useful, but they’re not too powerful, so it’s reasonable to say they’re fairly east to make.
>The acorn take longer to take root but the oak that grows from them is all the mightier and nurtures more then just itself... or some such poetic saying I suppose.>When God wants to make a squash plant he takes a few weeks, but when he makes an oak he takes a hundred years.>and eventually he gets noticed and scooped up as a recruit. And from there he gels with them fairly easily.I could see you meeting a cultivator, telling them about the world you came from, and since they want to hear more and you don’t have a place to stay, they bring you back to the local sect branch with them.
>>96100061>One might say the danger of the realm is for the scholar. Can an inquisitive mind bear to depart a land where there will always be something new to discover?...Just gonna make that a lesson in the sect.
>The other idea I’ve fleshed out is each realm has a vast river running through it, with the rivers having special effects on those who immerse themselves in them.Alright not gonna copy all those rivers hear to save text space. But I might integrate those. maybe make it a rite of passage those rivers are hidden away within the realms and perspective students have to find and bathe in each of them at least for a little bit. (Though longer is recommended for the patient.) Have each one take potentially years for a studentsto track down and get to.
>>96100075>I could see you meeting a cultivator, telling them about the world you came from, and since they want to hear more and you don’t have a place to stay, they bring you back to the local sect branch with them.I was thinking something along the lines of Jumper naturally aligning with a lot of there ideals. Perhaps its a bit cliche but have him basically stay in a village during the "Mortal" section of his time there before he ends up at a temple briefly where he helps a priest whose decrepit there. Run a soup kitchen for the poor, help transcribe texts, try and organize defense of mortals against the rare monster incursion when no cultivators are around. And either have the priest be a former cultivator who got washed out of the sect but is still very well respected by some of its disciples or actually one of its masters in disguise. And after a few years Jumper essentially gets a recommendation to the sect that way. By unwittingly demonstrating he's the sort they're looking for.
Honestly I might try to do a proper write up. My minds brimming with ideas a bit. One, being a sort of rival who was also isekaid. Who gets a fair bit of cheat skills on the more orthodox cultivator spectrum.
>>96100291>...Just gonna make that a lesson in the sect. Some other things from my notes.
>Each realm has a vast river that feeds into the golden sea at the center>Size is unclear, if you are not looking to leave you could wander a realm for a hundred lifetimes and never reach the edge, if you do wish to leave you will find the edge of the realm quickly. The golden sea is of course found in the fourth realm, the one that comes of bringing the three cultivation styles together. The fourth realm is also home to a Divine Triforce, the type that someone who has completed the entire Triune Scriptures would create.
Also the three realms each have three special challenges located within them, the Three Insights of Wisdom, the Three Refinements of Power, and the Three Trials of Courage. All I’ve got for them so far is your cultivation can’t help you with the challenges (and if you obtain the blessings of the rivers the challenges will scale up to match), the First Insight of Wisdom has you finding an old tome in a forest clearing, which when read transports you to a place where you must solve seven riddles/puzzles/ mysteries/you get the idea, the First Trial of Courage challenges you to defeat 1000 enemies (starting at 1 and slowly scaling up, dying just kicks you out and you can try again), and each challenge you complete will make you much more talented with the corresponding path of the Triune Scriptures.
>or actually one of its masters in disguise. The peak of the first realm of Divine Delusion is enough to have multiple bodies, after all.
>One, being a sort of rival who was also isekaid. Who gets a fair bit of cheat skills on the more orthodox cultivator spectrum.A proper Link or Zelda must have a Ganon. The jump even has a drawback for this.
>>96087122>"I think" I said, blinking, "you may well just be my second favourite version of the Devil ever"Whose your favourite?
>>96100399Hmm I might not use this 1 to 1 but if your cool wit it I might be able to use the rivers and put them in the pocket/training realm. With each massive section being influenced by a aspect of the triforce. The Golden Sea... I could see being a myth a bit even for scripture cultivators because you'd have to probably have to practice all three aspects to even have a chance at finding it at all.
>The peak of the first realm of Divine Delusion is enough to have multiple bodies, after all.Ofc. I think it was more potentially a part of the old masters own training or potentially just a small vacation by moderately powerful cultivator standards spanning a few years.
>A proper Link or Zelda must have a Ganon. The jump even has a drawback for this.I don't think I'd take a drawback to represent them. I don't want them to be outright antagonistic constantly even if there may be a good bit of it. But just to highlight the fundamental differences in where the two paths take them. Jumper would probably end up changing mentally and spiritually along with there strength a good bit as the natural progression of the scriptures goes. Meanwhile the rival would just get stronger/Become immortal a lot faster. Probably ascend to the Immortal/Next realm long before Jumper ever would but eventually find some of his achievements to feel hollow. The refinement of the self so to speak left undone. Maybe Im just feeling a bit philosophical today in a half baked way.
other world building thoughts: Might call have the sect call successful practioners of all three scriptures styles saints... but have them have to surpass the second stage before receiving the title. The titles aspirational in part of course.
Could have the three oracles of the goddesses in the sect to as a sort of sacred position. Advisors and spiritual guides. With no one but them really aware of the selection process for a new one.
>>96100495>Hmm I might not use this 1 to 1 but if your cool wit it I might be able to use the rivers and put them in the pocket/training realm.Go for it. Also I have the Power realm as mountains and deserts, mountains because Din is mentioned as having created them and deserts because of the Gerudo. Also also I have some ideas for various potions that can transform the drinker into a Hylian, Gerudo, Sheikah, and Twill, in that order of difficulty to create them.
>Ofc. I think it was more potentially a part of the old masters own training or potentially just a small vacation by moderately powerful cultivator standards spanning a few years.I’d have it as a method by which they keep themselves grounded. Maybe the reason the sect remains kind and caring is masters are expected to go out and involve themselves in the world, and living in that town is how that master remains connected to the mortal world.
>But just to highlight the fundamental differences in where the two paths take them.Ah, a foil rather than a foe.
>Could have the three oracles of the goddesses in the sect to as a sort of sacred position. Advisors and spiritual guides.Makes sense. The way I handled the Oracles in my Hylia chain might give you some ideas. The lore I had for the Oracles was that they would listen to me because we’re friends, but when it comes to official duties even I can’t give them orders, only the Goddess they’re sworn to, and while they are certainly free to bow and show deference to kings and the like, if they choose to tell the king of Hyrule off the king will just have to deal with it, because the Oracles serve a higher power. So I suppose you could have the Oracles as figure with no official authority, but when they speak the elders remain silent.
Also you might want to take the Oracles as companions, if only because forming the full Triune Realm in the Sect Builder would be very expensive.
>>96101153>I’d have it as a method by which they keep themselves grounded. Maybe the reason the sect remains kind and caring is masters are expected to go out and involve themselves in the world, and living in that town is how that master remains connected to the mortal world.Thats what I was thinking as well. Being a part of the mortal world helps keep people from getting... detached to soon. Even if someones mind does fundamentally change a bit inherently.
Ironically enough I think Jumper was going to be tasked with a similar duty by the sect for a while sometime in his 100's in the Jump. He gets assigned to be a censor for the mortal empire/Hyrule territory the sect has. Basically walking among mortals and helping root out mundane corruption. Basically meant to remind them of mortal society and a bit of a test to see if there stick to there principles if there cut loose a bit now that they have a modicum of real power by that point.
>Ah, a foil rather than a foe.Yeah, it'd be a shame just to flanderize them into a stereotypical young master. I think this is more interesting a bit.
>Also you might want to take the Oracles as companions, if only because forming the full Triune Realm in the Sect Builder would be very expensive.I might or might not do that depending on how the story goes. Not sure if I want him to take the full triune realm with him. Though spoilers I was planning on his sect in the build basically being a Branch of the one he's entrusted to build in future worlds after he's given the Saint title. The Full triune realm would still be back at the core sect back in Generic xianxia.
>>96101153>>96101225>Also also I have some ideas for various potions that can transform the drinker into a Hylian, Gerudo, Sheikah, and Twill, in that order of difficulty to create them.I wanted to run with the old fanon idea that the triune scriptures would kinda gently turn its users into a Hylian by the end of the first stage. And potentially becoming the other races potentially depending on personal focus by the cultivator. Sort of like a Eevee.
Have the pointy ears basically be a general known marker if someones a member of the sect. (Need to think of a good name for them.) And a good symbol ones reached the point in their cultivation they can properly call themselves a cultivator when they emerge.
>>96101238>fanonHonestly I have a feeling that if you were to just straight up ask Nyanko about it, he'd say that could totally happen.

>Yeah, it'd be a shame just to flanderize them into a stereotypical young master. I think this is more interesting a bit.Maybe the ending to that story is you offering them the pill from the Second Chance item, they take it to remove their cultivation, and you take them on as a disciple.
>Though spoilers I was planning on his sect in the build basically being a Branch of the one he's entrusted to build in future worlds after he's given the Saint title.Neat.
>I wanted to run with the old fanon idea that the triune scriptures would kinda gently turn its users into a Hylian by the end of the first stage. It’s a fun idea. I think I was even the one who started it.
>And potentially becoming the other races potentially depending on personal focus by the cultivator. Sort of like a Eevee. That could be interesting. Becoming a Twill could involve focusing on the Light and Darkness elements in Soul Compass.
>>96101267As someone who did ask, he did say that.
>>96094824Just started fluffing little bits of the Noreware background. The heat is sadly draining my motivation to do anything but laze around.
>>96094824Made a bit of progress, not a lot tho.
>>96101267Oh definitely. which is why I'm just gonna do it.
>>96101290>Sounds like a good role, Provided you aren’t cultivating God Body alone, of course.Of course. Jumpers going to tri-cultivate. God body admittedly would probably be his weakest one for a while. If only due to his modern upbringing. Hesitant of pain naturally a bit more then most natives.
>Maybe the ending to that story is you offering them the pill from the Second Chance item, they take it to remove their cultivation, and you take them on as a disciple.Hmm maybe. I need to see how there character develops a bit more in my head. But that'd be nice if I can fit em in the budget. And if the foil would be a good character to keep around long term.
>It’s a fun idea. I think I was even the one who started it.If you were. Thanks! its a good idea.
>That could be interesting. Becoming a Twill could involve focusing on the Light and Darkness elements in Soul Compass.Aye. Twili would probably be a lot of light and darkness users. And probably one of the more difficult to develop into.
Maybe Jumper ends up developing forms for each of the races eventually as sort of side track of him trying to feel out the true path of his style. But I imagine a lot of cultivators can look varied as hell. And I do sorta want to give him wings at some later part. Maybe that could be saved for if/when he reaches the immortal realm but by then it'd just be purely for appearances sake but they'd be just for appearances sake by anything past the first stage anyway to.
>>96092465Lucifer basically intends to risk potentially blowing up all of Hell and the Human World in the midst of trying to save literally /everyone/ - all the living humans, the dead ones in Hell, the demons, everyone. His goal is to save absolutely every single person no matter what. It's just that this could potentially result in the destruction of the entire world, which he treats as something he can just fix by reviving everyone. Which is just plainly uncaring of the people he's meant to be protecting or saving, even ignoring the possibility that things don't go the way he wants.
It also parallels how Priest outright acted in the exact same way when fighting Asmodeus - that he didn't need to care about protecting the city during their fight since he could just revive everyone who died. It's the sort of slippery dope behavior that is self-justifying and can lead to you doing worse and worse things purely because you have the power to "fix" it after the fact.

[Destiny: The Darkness redux]
>FRATRICIDE: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95500563/#95508022
Strands tighten and slacken, like grasping limbs. Frayed nerves. Pulsating sphincters in time and space, that reach through all of human history, allegedly manipulating it to some grand design despite previous would-be puppetmasters finding it difficult to manipulate the paracausal to their will.
But now, there is conflict. Enmity. The Nine are at civil war, and so they beckon the Guardians to distant Kepler where their value can be made known There is, of course, one small snag.
Me.
"Welcome, all of you. My offspring|Lilim subspecies|weapons, the security concerns of the Gardener have finally exceeded this small system, and linear time" I speak across universes, and through one pours cosmic rime while through the other a multitude of emerald strandlings. A third slips through between her sisters, her presence felt only by the intensity of Deepsight around her. All of them are vast, churning cyclones of Light and Darkness rendered Prismatic in which faces and hands and limbs form stable geometric orbits-and tether a great expanse of dark matter that follows through with them.
"Then why only us?" asks the Weaver, basking in the ecstasy of small minds looking upwards in fear and uncertainty. "Why not usher in ALL our kin?"
"She would prefer I not" I say even as the great orb of the Traveller stares at the new arrivals in grave concern.
"Then this is a reconnaissance mission. A period of observation" says the Oracle, broadening her gaze across possibilities and inevitabilities. The Nine of course, cannot help but sense our observation. The Nine react in the only logical way.
Horrified screaming.
"And if what we see displeases" says the Sculptress, "we will use the old ways"
It's understandable. It's not every day you a corpse animated by parasites wandering around.

>>96101424They're pretty similar, yeah. Difference is that Lucifer technically has the power to achieve what he wants already, but we have no idea what form this would take and nobody is willing to risk letting him go through with it because they don't want to lose their homes - which is why every demon from all the Gehennas jump in to try and help Priest stop him.
There's also the fact that Lucifer knows God's script, so he's aware of how things are going to go and that reality is just running towards the ultimate predetermined outcome. Lucifer is simply playing his role in fulfilling God's ultimate desires, which he's been either broken by the realization of as an entity with individual thoughts and emotion or which he simply believes he can fulfill the plan without having to be completely railroaded onto it.
>>96101542The Guardians have apparently always had the capacity to fly to Kepler, and did not think to contact me before I signalled my intent to get involved. They do pay much more attention when the former Emissary, plucky by me from the Nine's grasp, informs them that plans long set in motion are coming to fruition.
"Guardian. Or. Last Word, whichever you prefer" says Ikora, "this flower I'm holding up somehow means we're being invited by the Nine"
"Ah. So it's already begun" I muse.
"What?"
"The manipulations. Ikora, before we proceed further there's a few things you should know about how thoroughly Nine intervention has changed human history"
"We have always known the Nine have forces everywhere" she says dismissively, "but there's no real evidence that-"
"They shot JFK"
Ikora tilted her head. "...is that supposed to be a joke? What does a historical leader's death have to do with-"
"Oh and they killed you to make you a Guardian in order to manipulate you to arriving on Kepler at this exact moment. You were tenacious in life; they attempted to make you something akin to the Emissary, but you instinctively ran and so they chose your colleague Lodi. And punished you by throwing a train at you through space and time. Kind of like the one they're about to throw at you right now"
Ikora glared at me. A Void bomb started to crackled around her fists as she strode up and snapped "If it was anyone, ANYONE else, who spoke to me like that I would have chosen violence now". She sagged, the Light dimming around her. "But I know for a fact you've seen enough wonder and horror that this isn't even the strangest truth you've told me. For the love of...is there anything else I SHOULD know?"
"The Nine can use phones to drag people through space and time, and turn them into bargain bin Emissaries"

>>96101549Ikora blinked at that. She stepped aside briefly as a goddamn train smashed through Kepler's time-warped Chicagoesque landscape, a final gesture of pure pettiness by the Nine. "Ikora to Vanguard, I want a security check on ALL forms of communication now. You were saying" she said, "about my...colleague, Lodi?"
You both worked for a Golden Age organisation dedicated to studying alien life. Without their Emissary, they're using him as their point of contact with Guardians, all the while using other races to fight their little civil war for them. The House of Exiles are cultivating what you would understand as a miniature Witness. They would have recruited Maya by telling her how to make a perfect Chioma if I hadn't dealt with that. And now. They have a vested interest in cooperation with the Guardians"
"Is this the part where you urge us to kill them first?" demanded Ikora.
"That depends on which faction wins" I said bluntly. "To be quite honest, as annoyed as I was by the Red Legion affair I find myself ambivalent about the transhuman uplifting offer the Nine propose now that I have enough forces to defend the Traveller from all corners of the cosmos myself. Take up employment with them. Don't. It's all the same to me, just consider if making new friends is worth making new enemies too. Oh and one more thing. You had a daughter"
"Well. She's long dead, just like the woman I was"
I am the first Guardian to bond with dark matter at a sub-quantum level, turning into a blot of pure energy darting about. Of course I am. It's the first trick my own variant of humanity learned to do all those eons ago.
It's a trick that lets me step aside from a conflict where despite the actual singularity to be honest, not much of importance is happening and enter the interstitial spaces the Nine inhabit.

All of them go silent. .lets not get carried away say I no want trouble, says the Sun.

You want to be the latest fools on the block, pretending you can control paracausality even as you dip your tendrils in it and experiment with making those empowered by Light and Darkness? So be it. Either you'll fail and the Guardians will go home with your trinkets in their lootboxes, or you'll succeed and I'll pick up the slack"
"But" I add, "if ANY of this comes back to harm the Traveller, I'll show you exactly what I did to your kind to reformat humanity in my image"
At a gesture, cosmic ice creeps over dark matter tendrils. At a gesture, strands pierce and twist whorls of dark matter. At a gesture, something unseen starts severing intricate acausal connections. The Nine recoil from conflict, because any pain they experience is experienced forever. They sputter assurances and pleas that all will be well, while slinging more offers my way.
"Don't. Fuck. This. Up" I threatened the acausal hoops of dark matter.

Wont post a build until its done but something that comes to mind immediately as this starts to evolve is Jumper only planning to stay there ten years but deciding to stay longer once his time is up asking for a extension because of some engagement and he's invested. Given this is a xianxia jump and long time spans are the norm anyway the benefactor allows it. First for a century to get through some war Jumper was involved in trying to defend people perhaps. or in the middle of a tournament he's supposed to represent the sect in. And then the second extension after a 100 years... I'm not sure on. I'll need to think of a good one.

I have every right to be upset that it and all it's kind are doing something that will make my big ball friend cry. I mean, they also enabled Maya Sundaresh who is just. The absolute worst.
>>96101635I mean, Earth, Venus, Mars and apparently fucking Mercury since it turns out it was originally the one telling all the others that they're retards and that the Nine need humanity are all pretty thoroughly opposed to mass reality extinction. And even the Sun, for all that it's trying to appeal to the logics of both sides, still seems to favor the terrestrial planets overall. But the gas giants are the ones who either 1) think the Witness had the right idea, 2) are seething at mankind because it should've been them, not us, or 3) they want to abandon us to die so they can ascend. The civil war is being fought because one half wants both mankind AND the Nine to survive whilst the other wants to kill us all/do the exact same shit that nearly got everyone killed in the first place. It's not really being done out of intentional malice from the terrestrial worlds.
And the Traveler would cry more if you genocided all of the Nine just because Saturn/Jupiter/Uranus/Neptune are a shit.
>>96101608>And then the second extension after a 100 years... I'm not sure on. I'll need to think of a good one.I mean, at that point you’ll have spent 100 years there, surrounded by close friends and being taught by mentors who care about you and want to help you grow as a person. The question isn’t why you would stay, the question is why would you move on.

>>96101681>MercuryOh, that’s REAL fucking rich from the little crispy midget after it was also highly implied Mercury was the one who fucked over the Vanguard’s sensors so nobody would detect Ghaul’s coming until it was too late (except I, not requiring those sensors, simply proceeded to strike first, gut the Almighty’s engines, starve out most of Ghaul’s forces and proceed to mount Ghaul’s tortured atop the Tower as a warning to other alien races). Then again, considering Mercury has been converted into a machine world, cracked in half by the Almighty (in canon) and Taken by the Witness, I guess it’s possible it might’ve had a change of heart like people in traumatic accidents seriously reevaluating their life priorities.
And it’s ultimately irrelevant because the Nine retain enough of a consensus to KEEP using the Emissary to express their collective will. How many fuckups are going to be tolerated until someone figures out a way to punish a planet? How many chances should a being that can reach through time and space to make it’s will done be given? How much can the word of an entity that perceives time and space in a way alien even to the Vex, presumably enough to see the moment of the Final Shape BUT DO NOTHING to save all the lives lost when the Witness invaded Earth, and how does one differentiate culpability amongst a group unwilling to disclose how many of it’s actions were done in concert and how many individually? Why should I give a single rat shit about the Nine when they haven’t lifted a FINGER to save the millions of humans, Fallen and Cabal in the solar system, some of whom died as a direct result of their machinations? Again, like Ikora
More importantly, /how many other Nine-like entities are there out there in the universe, fighting their own civil wars?/
The universe requires correction.
>>96101681Also in-game, apparently III (Earth) is the first casualty but they use the Haul to revive it. temporarily. And it explains both the extinction as well as the solution, to “bind the Nine” which as usual is your prerogative as the Chosen One of Destiny 2
>>96101703Times like this, what you do is change an aspect of how the chain works. Instead of being dropped in new worlds, the sect finds you have a power that can open portals to other worlds, said ability activating being what brought you to their world in the first place. You can come back anytime you want, and you and your friends are immortal, so leaving isn’t anything to worry about.

>/just like the Witness did/No. Not /just/ like the Witness. Unlike the Witness, with my own reservoir of Light cultivated over billions of years (before adjusting for Vex time dilation, dark matter atemporality and Destiny human paracausal energy compatibility) I have neither need nor desire to violate the Traveller and my Destiny avatar’s hivemind is composed of paracausal Vex energy clones of myself in perfect synch. There are no Dissenters, and I am not moving close enough for a focused blast.
Furthermore, the Witness had /tunnel vision/. I have already accepted the Gardener desires the universe in it’s current state. So instead of devoting all my energy and focus to a specific goal, I would instead take a broader view of universal culling: Setting off cosmic events to lure species away or towards the Traveller depending on their disposition, kingmaking and empire-founding those deemed worthy by it while manipulation those posing a threat with fits of madness, disease and deception, and thus over many generations arresting the progress of evolution itself itself so that only species capable of nonviolence towards the Traveller can succeed. And only, ONLY culling those posing true existential threats.
If, IF I abandon my current course of Discipleship, recovery of the Golden Age and tacit support for the Vanguard to conquer all timelines, I am going to cull in a MUCH faster and MORE organised way than the Witness just casually dumping it’s memories all over it’s main pyramid like a lazy teenager and casually discarding Disciples.

There are so many ways for a Jumper to prevent Gohan from happening that Gohanposter's vitriol seems like a solution in search of a problem.

Goku kicks the shit out of you, but you may be able to strike an understanding if you explain that his wife inevitably ruining his son directly endangers the world and denies him a worthy future sparring partner.

Chichi has no choice but to offer up Gohan as the leader of the Z-Fighters while he's at his prime, meaning that he can properly fill his late father's shoes rather than succumbing to arrested development.
You think it would be unfitting to apply the Saint template to a creature In the race option in Forgotten Realms?
I usually don't mind using templates for the jump, but that one actually requires you to earn your sainthood rather than just having a particular parent, growing weirdy or being modified.

>>96102949its just weird t deicde where to draw the line.
Like becooming a Lich for example seems like it should be totally valid(assuming its applied to a level 10+ spellcaster or one of the qualifying races), but things like Saint or Monster of Legend require literal divine intervention.
>>96102900Gohan doesn't deserve mORE fuckinG unEArned POWErups.
>>96102983Then make him earn them.
In the first place, seeking revenge for an evil that you had the power to prevent but actively chose not to isn't justice, it's complicity in the original evil as an excuse to commit a second evil after the fact.
In the second place, the opposite of love isn't hated, it's apathy. You're investing passion into Gohan that you yourself implicate he doesn't deserve.
In the third place, Jumper is an implicitly superior being. A human tormenting ants is petty and pointless, but a human developing a myopic hatred for one specific ant and developing a specialized torture chamber for it to keep it alive for as long as possible is unseemly and undignified to boot.
In the fourth place, this kind of obsessive, one-sided hatred is waxing black in a clingy and pathetically desperate way. If you break Gohan's spirit down to the point to where you get him to hate you back, you instantly become gay.
What would your spider wife think?
>>96102983Events being changed so that you never exist is a powerup?
>>96103099Yes, nonexistence is PREFERABLE to being Gohan.
>>96103045I don't want to waste my existence wiping Gohan's ass, just as Piccolo has been reduced to in SUPER HERO. Getting Gohan to train is like getting a cat to swim. He intrinsically REBELS against fulfilling his potential.
>>96103303And instead you waste your existance obsessing over him

>12:24Funny thing. The main arc this season has been Ikora accusing the Nine of being everything I could be if I didn't respect the Gardener because, and I cannot stress this enough, they literally killed a woman just to make her a pawn in their games when she revived as a Guardian. Just as they make other races fight their own battles for them. Just like they changed the Lone Wolf's (the MC's) past to make him their ideal weapon

Hmm what sort of role do you think mortals can play in xianxia states/Empires? Trying to think of ways to incorporate them without just being noteless peasants or recruits for sects. Maybe have it so most of the bureaucracy and day to day management of the empire is done by mortals as a in between with people and cultivator nobles. "Let the mortal manage mortals they know them best and what they need" sort of logic.
>>96104365Target practice.
>>96104365>Maybe have it so most of the bureaucracy and day to day management of the empire is done by mortals as a in between with people and cultivator noblesThat would be the most straightforward role. If you rule a province with billions of people living in it (everyone has to start somewhere) you’re going to need a lot of people to handle the bureaucratic tasks.
>>96104365>Hmm what sort of role do you think mortals can play in xianxia states/Empires?Slaves. Farmers. Playthings. Laborers. Cultivation Resources.
Any society that mortals develop in xianxia exists purely because a cultivator either protects (rules over) it for the above reasons, or because cultivators don't give enough of a shit about it.
>>96104473Alright. I'll keep that then.
>>96104417>>96104492That feels a little cynical a bit. Cultivators do come from mortal stock at least originally after all. They'd bound to have to have some place in the world.
>>96104527>Alright. I'll keep that then. There’s also working as a personal servant to a cultivator. Given the tone you’re going with for your sect, there’ll be plenty of mortals that would love to have such a job.
Also, on the subject of xianxia: get some form of unbreakable contract/binding vow perk/power before visiting any. You might think this is because cultivators are chinese bugmen and their word can't be trusted. You're wrong. They're WORSE than chinese bugmen. Laws exist only because a stronger cultivator says they do. Right and wrong are entirely defined by how strong you are. If a cultivator sees an opportunity to screw you over for their own benefit, regardless of whatever relationship, resources, or the like you've provided them in the past, they will take it without hesitation. If you have something another cultivator likes and they're stronger than you? You no longer have that thing and you'll be lucky if you keep your life in the aftermath. You might think I'm exaggerating. I'm not. I'm reading a xianxia where shit like that is happening right now.
>>96104527It's not cynical, it's reality for xianxia settings. Mortals exist to do "whatever a cultivator wants them to do", whether that be farming food, being bedwarmers, or getting refined by the millions into blood essence/souls for a technique that will increase the cultivator's strength by 0.0001%. If you're supremely lucky there's a concept of karma and heavenly vows in the local xianxia, which means that most cultivators don't immediately jump to refining people into pills and there's an extrinsic method of guaranteeing trust. In xianxia that lack those, you get to see what society defined purely by strength looks like (via a chinese lens).
>>96104365Well most woul be nameless peasants, working in fields, mines, fishing, as domestic servants and the like. Though there is a place for a smaller middle class by going all in on guilds/unions for many crafts and trades, like just in terms of numbers the relatively small number of sects dedicated to differen crafts would not be able to meet the demand across an empires, especially at prices affordable to mortals and lower cultivators. And larger groups of organized mortals would wield a considerable amount of social and political power.
Otherwise like you said there is plenty of place in bureaucracy for mortal civil servants doing jobs of the day to day running of the empire, which cultivators could not be bothered to doo.
Personally I also think there would be a decent place for mortal scholars to advance knowledge in an organized way similarly to modern scientists, rather than rely on inddividual cultivator geniuses.
Also mortal entertainers like artists, musicians, dancers and actors could be decent enough and maybe even gather following of their own like modern celebrities. Sure individual cutivators would probably be muchh greater, but they usually dont perform their arts for the masses.

More people are going to end up probably fleeing to the sect if thats standard in the larger world probably then.
>>96104561>There’s also working as a personal servant to a cultivator. Given the tone you’re going with for your sect, there’ll be plenty of mortals that would love to have such a job.Probably, Can imagine that could be emotionally draining on cultivators a bit though if they get attached easily. Though now Im imagining say generations of mortal servants for a singular cultivator who more seems a family friend at times. Coming to birthdays or important events.
>>96104714>Personally I also think there would be a decent place for mortal scholars to advance knowledge in an organized way similarly to modern scientists, rather than rely on inddividual cultivator geniuses.>Also mortal entertainers like artists, musicians, dancers and actors could be decent enough and maybe even gather following of their own like modern celebrities. Sure individual cutivators would probably be muchh greater, but they usually dont perform their arts for the massOh I like all this honestly. Maybe set up a engineering guild for the mortals. That could be fun. Entertainers to. Maybe I could explore that if my jumper gets proper into the musician thing.
>>96104365Give the talentless peasants a cultivation technique that advances them incredibly quickly but burns their cultivated lifespan to fuel the technique which actual cultivators would never consider using. It'll get them to a level of power they'd have never reached with a hundred lifetimes but still leave them with roughly the same lifespan they had in the end and it'll get you their undying loyalty.
It'll be a Great Leap Forward for them.
>>96104895Thats... not a bad idea honestly anon. Perhaps a bit morally dubious for my tastes but I could definitely see that happening in the world somewhere. I might use that.
>>96104527The thing you have to remember about Cultivators is that Cultivation, like Jumpchain, is a system that passively selects for sociopaths the farther in you go.
It already (in most settings) stands as a way to achieve godlike power in contravention to the gods and the laws of heaven: A good man who requires power as a means to a just end will eventually have 'enough' power to so whatever it is he needs to do, and will stop.
Those that don't stop view power over others as the end, greatly fear those of their own ilk wielding it over them, and see mortals as chattel-- lesser beings, means to their ends, not even 'human' in the same way that peer Cultivators are.
Once you get past a certain point, almost every Cultivation setting is a violent crab bucket full of murderous, treasonous psychotics, plus a couple enlightened hermit sages who aren't complete shitheels, observe and sometimes shelter sections of the mortal world rather than ruling over them like tyrants, and only survive because they found a way to game the system and are too powerful for anyone to safely fuck with.
>>96104810>Probably, Can imagine that could be emotionally draining on cultivators a bit though if they get attached easily.I mean, Divine Delusion and Soul Compass treat deaging someone as a party trick. Keeping a staff of loyal and devoted servants young wouldn’t be too hard at the end of the first stage, and by the end of the third stage it’d take more effort for a servant of yours to make them young then it would for you to do it.
>Though now Im imagining say generations of mortal servants for a singular cultivator who more seems a family friend at times. Coming to birthdays or important events. Also the larger and more powerful cultivator houses would have vast numbers of servants, in part to take care of their estates.
>Maybe set up a engineering guild for the mortals. That could be fun.I don’t think that’d work. Remember that Nayru is the Goddess of science, and your sect greatly cares for mortals. As such, I don’t think that would work as a mortal endeavor because you’d have plenty of cultivators who’d want to join and help advance the bounds of science and engineering, and pretty much all the cultivators of your sect who rule over land will do their best to spread the advancements that are made.
>>96104810Important thing to be aware of: even if you have binding vow/unbreakable contract type perks or powers, one very easy tactic to circumvent those sorts of things is the following
>Cultivator Shit, of Clan Fuck: *makes binding vow*>Clan Fuck realizes you have (thing) that they really really want>Clan Fuck disavows/disowns/outright kills Cultivator Shit, thus nullifying the vow since it only applied to Cultivator Shit and not the entirety of Clan Fuck
>>96105000Fair enough I suppose. A system like that... it really is tragic a bit.
>I mean, Divine Delusion and Soul Compass treat deaging someone as a party trick. Keeping a staff of loyal and devoted servants young wouldn’t be too hard at the end of the first stage, and by the end of the third stage it’d take more effort for a servant of yours to make them young then it would for you to do it.True, that'd probably be a big side perk for potential retainers/servants.
>Also the larger and more powerful cultivator houses would have vast numbers of servants, in part to take care of their estates. The arguments for becoming a horde of chibis grows to split up your time for all of them...
>I don’t think that’d work. Remember that Nayru is the Goddess of science, and your sect greatly cares for mortals. Well still mortal scientists and scholars having a role would be good. Maybe some scholars.
>>96105098>Maybe some scholars.Meant Philosophers there.
>>96104810>>96105090And this isn't some last resort thing; sects/clans of sufficient power will happily, thoughtlessly, treat their lower level/younger generation cultivators as pawns this way and happily cut them off the moment they become even slightly inconvenient. This can easily be solved by simply making a vow with sect/clan leader, but...they're usually King Shit of Fuck Mountain types, the strongest of the sect/clan who won't hesitate to kill you just because you happened to breathe wrong in their vicinity, and would be outright insulted by the idea of being bound to their word by someone who's lower than their own powerlevel.
>>96105090>>96105140I'm beginning to wonder a bit how people can even get the chance to grow or climb the ladder at all if its so dire. Seems like they'd just take a step outside and immediately die for pissing off the wrong person with there presence a bit.
>>96105098>The arguments for becoming a horde of chibis grows to split up your time for all of them...Not necessarily, it’s important to trust your subordinates to do their jobs. What you need is to be accessible, so if there’s a problem that needs your input they can come and ask you what to do.
>Crap, your right. Well still mortal scientists and scholars having a role would be good.Varied perspectives are always useful when doing science. Of course, the technology that gets developed would be of a more magical style. You don’t need to be a cultivator to create an array, and as the jump says, what is an array if not a qi-based circuit board?
>>96105170You're either born supremely lucky or happen to be the child of some big shot which usually means you'll get some support to grow.
There's a reason that xianxia protagonists face life and death situations all the damn time despite their absurd luck.
>>96105170Mostly a combination of luck, being born part of the power structure, and Face Culture. Ironically Face is a big thing that allows people to grow strong enough to actually start being notable; chinese culture has this whole convoluted honor system. Older generations stepping on the younger generation is deeply frowned upon, so most of the time only cultivators of the same stage/rank fight each other while the older monsters just kinda sit on the side sipping their tea until they see something that REALLY interests them (or if one of their grandkids gets killed or something). Plus-lower level resources are generally pretty useless once you get higher up on the totem pole, so once you're a Level 4 Supreme Dong you can't use Level 2 Ching Grass to help you anymore, so the Level 1 Ching Chongs will happily fight over the grass that's useless just two levels later and advance to the next level.
So it's a combination of "it's beneath me to step on these little people", "they don't have anything worthwile to step on them for anyways", pure luck, and being born into the power system so you have some old monsters in your corner backing you and protecting you until you can stand up on your own that lets most cultivators get anywhere in cultivation.
>>96105170Patronage from another Cultivator, either on the whim of one of those enlightened hermits, or because a sect has vacancies they need to fill/need higher-level grist for the mill I'm pretty sure is the most common way.
The other way is that you get supremely fucking lucky; a ton of Xianxia protagonists have Isekai protagonist cheat skills in order that they don't get immediately murdered by the first arrogant young master that rolls up on them.
>>96105290There's a reason a bunch of people in this thread mentioned Nyanko's zelda xianxia setting is unusually pleasant, as in the karma system has teeth at all rather than just being something to circumvent.
>>96105290Yeah. There's a reason every single xianxia protagonst has stupid levels of luck and like half a dozen cheats.
It's amazing how woke you have to be to have ever have believed in the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.
What did your jumper do in Hollywood?
for xianxia mortals I'd probably go for a magic system where people can pool their skill together for greater magical efects, through rituals and collective chantings an the like. LIke going with a collective apprach of quantity over quality.
Cant really think of a system that would fit properly, since the ones I know that o include it, still usually benfit more from individal greater mages.

>>96102427>As I said, Mercury’s culpability-the fact that it was the one that planet and gas giant ALIKE ganged up on to discipline-in letting in Ghaul is the reason why I don’t see any good reason to trust ANY of them.Current lore actually doesn't specify which of them supported Ghaul. Based on what we know now, it's very likely that Mercury was a scapegoat.
And only, ONLY culling those posing true existential threats.Literal Winnower logic.
