Hmm thats a fair point honestly. I agree a bit that does feel just a little unfair. Maybe I'll cut that little detail out. But I do like the idea of karma having a weight to it and could be used for things.

Yeah when his dream eye awakening gets good enough to get a better look at possible futures, he's going to have that reaction.
By the time Vaati shows up and eventually eats a good chunk of elemental essence out of a region of hyrule and a few sacred places. Venti's might kinda start to think this is where he's destined to die a bit given the lights still not letting up.

Fair that would serve the best of both worlds I think. It'd open up the power ceiling. I'd peg the old man at probably being Fifth stage on jump start maybe close to sixth. Could have venti throw a celebration party for him in a century or two. Have the empress be near the end of sixth but purposefully not going further because she feels like the empire needs a steady hand guiding it for now. Course Venti is just starting the first and Alicia probably in the middle of the first.

Honestly given the nature of darkness as the element of mystery and what could be. I could see Alicia being fairly good at it despite her aesthetics. I could see them creating some sort of small dark realm as a place to experiment with things.

Hmm I sort of like that idea. Though my first thought a bit is having cultivator society be a mix of standard xianxia ruthlessness with none scripture cultivators (Generally speaking there not all bad of course.) And generally, more merciful/Harmonic sub section of cultivators who follow the scriptures. Maybe the scripture cultivators all originally came from students of some legendary figure from long long ago who either discovered the triune scriptures or invented them before "Ascending" beyond the world there in.

Have some warm and welcoming places but still room for conflict.
