I need to know who was the bigger retard in this situation. I'm red car
>turning left on yellow
>Pedestrian to the left of me
>black car turning right
The black car was the last car in their group so I pulled out to the star in preparation to turn after they turned. The pedestrians started walking across and when the black car got to the turn they stopped completely (the X). The pedestrian location is dead accurate to where they were at the time the black car stopped. So now I'm in a situation where the next group of cars is coming in and I'm in T-bone position, the black car has the right of way, and the pedestrians are not even to the halfway point of the cross walk. I obviously floor it rather than waiting to get smashed and as im turning the black car guy raises his hands at me or something.
I understand my first mistake was pulling out too far, but the pedestrians had started walking right as I pulled out (and I dont even know what the pedestrian signal was I was too busy to look). I know pedestrians always have the right of way no matter what, but in a situation like this where both cars have more than enough time to go before they even hit the halfway mark I dont see the big deal in going. So who fucked up more here?
