We just got our ass handed to us by the fucking HOUTHIS of all people after over a year of high-intensity air and naval campaigns just four years after we got our ass handed to us by the Taliban. Hell, you guys chased us out too, and that was when we were arguably at our height. In general we just fucking suck at long-term imperial wars compared to the French/British for a number of complicated reasons.
