Here's a controversial take: I actually wish the seikret had more movement options and tech.
If they're going devote so many resources to the seikret, I wish it did more. Nothing combat related, of course, but I wish it were more fun to ride around. It has a drift function, just like the palamutes did, but I have never seen anyone use. I've done it once or twice to take a dumb "Akira slide" photos and that's it.
If they want to give the player the monster's location at all times, then I want them to make it more fun in getting to the monster. Take away the auto-jump sequences for Seikret-only paths and give players mobility options like a high jump, burst gliding, and wallrunning with a Seikret to recreate them in the aggregate.
And then put in seikret racing as a side activity. Use like a blue or purple quest marker, instead of red, green, or white, and make dedicated seikret races to compete for times.
