Yeah, I do too. My (unrealistic) hope is that MR is when they really lean into the game's mechanics with fight and quest design. I want more activities that reward hanging out in biomes for long periods of times. I want tangible rewards for guild points that are gained by doing literally anything out in the field because right now all you can do is pretty much rest and buy from support ship with them.

I am also praying for an endgame like Rise's where every single monster gets a reason to grind for and incremental difficulty increases as you go.

It was holding around 36k for a while there and I was convinced that would be the new standard level of players but it's peaking at 29k right now and a 7k loss is not just random variance. I think they should introduce new reasons to fight monsters again even if those aren't mandatory. I mean as it stands all we have are:
-fight for armor
-fight for weapons
-fight for crowns

Considering how easy they've made it to get crowns and materials that leaves no reason to fight monsters more than a handful of times which explains why people's opinion on monsters vary so drastically now because most people haven't fought monsters enough to really understand them

I think pop up camps are the opposite of worthless; I think they're a bit too strong. Having like 5 of them on a map means you're never more than two areas away from a respawn/resupply point.

I kind of wish you only got one or something per map so that having a big customizable mini-hub felt good and important to set up. There's no reason to ever hang out at them because doing random quests in the field with an environment link is basically worthless, but I love the idea of having more multiplayer interactables.

Here's a controversial take: I actually wish the seikret had more movement options and tech.

If they're going devote so many resources to the seikret, I wish it did more. Nothing combat related, of course, but I wish it were more fun to ride around. It has a drift function, just like the palamutes did, but I have never seen anyone use. I've done it once or twice to take a dumb "Akira slide" photos and that's it.

If they want to give the player the monster's location at all times, then I want them to make it more fun in getting to the monster. Take away the auto-jump sequences for Seikret-only paths and give players mobility options like a high jump, burst gliding, and wallrunning with a Seikret to recreate them in the aggregate.

And then put in seikret racing as a side activity. Use like a blue or purple quest marker, instead of red, green, or white, and make dedicated seikret races to compete for times.

Leading up to the world release I was glued to my screen looking up any and all info about the game and I've since seen gameplay and read reviews etc etc. I know what to expect out of like 90% of the game and it just hasn't interested me. It may also just be the way offsets are coded where damage taken is rolledback if the game registers an offset within a certain number of frames of damage.

I played the demo and it drops to sub 30 in fights. There's some areas where the framerate is nice like in the cave with sapscourge but overall it's not that amazing. I mean it still better than a 30fps lock and I'm happy they left it unlocked but it just feels ass when you go from one area to another and go from somewhat smooth to choppy.
Otherwise the game looks fine even on the switch. If anything it's impressive they managed to port their shit heap of an engine and had it run at all when the console is like a gtx 1660 at best. The game ran like ass on my old 1080ti.
