in the same vein, use raided beds, food and cover that does not make you look like a nutter. That the tomato plants give good cover is just a happy accident.

you can use standard fillers but some rock/ceramics sand combos will obviously be better then wood and mulch. but good heavy ammo will penetrate quite a bit so... its good but not great.

so better to build recessd below ground than up.for hobo look go with cinder blocks. Prefabs or just sack of concrete, a good build will be better but even those other option are ok. drones etc change the with trenches situation a bit. you need more proper designs.
