Gurren Lagann is also a kids anime and has a simplistic plot and characters, and yet everyone and their mothers love this show and gush about its theme and writing.
So it's pretty stupid to say that Precure can't be as great as TTGL, when we have the likes of Fresh, Smile and Go Princess.
