If you pick scaling champs like vlad you are better off in a sidelane mid just isn't the lane for those guys.

Either space around minions so she can't E on top of you or trade inside the minion wave so her Q's get blocked and do piss for damage
when you're around 400 hp either cry for a gank or just take the bad recall you wont outplay the dive because you are bad
