Isn't this what they wanted? A cutthroat meritocracy of free market capitalism? The guy in the OP is acting like he wants loyalty and self-sacrifice or something, why would anyone do that in a system of atomized rationally self-interested individuals? Of course they're going to jump ship as soon as your deal isn't in mutual best benefit, isn't that what you would do?
